    Pengaruh Aktifitas Fisik dan Ekstrak Teh Hijau (Camellia Sinensis) terhadap Profil Lipid Mencit Jantan (Mus Musculus) Strain DD Webster dengan Pakan Tinggi Lemak

    Abstract
    Cholesterol is a chemical compound which is needed by the body because it acts as precursor of all steroids in body, such as corticosteroid, sexual hormone, gall salt, and vitamin D. the surplus and the shortage of this compound will have a negative effect on the body. Putting 2% green tea in the high-fat content of food and doing reguler exercise can hopefully reduce the increase of the lipid profile content of a mice. The aim of this research was to know the influence of the physical exercises and giving the green tea extract to the lipid profile of a mice with the high-fat content of food. Male mice (Mus Musculus) is divided into four clusters and each clusters contents of nine mice. The examination of the lipid profile in each cluster was done on the twenty-fist day (four mice) and on the forty second day (five mice). All mice consumed high-fat content of food: the first cluster was given 2% of green tea extract and swim treatment, the second cluster was given 2% of green tea extract without being given swim treatment; the third cluster was given swim treatment without being given green tea extract, and the fourth cluster was given neither green tea extract, nor swim treatment. The swim treatment was done in forty minutes, three times a week during the research. The result of the research showed that there was no influence of the physical exercises and cosuming the green tea extract on the lipid profile of the mice. Consuming high-fat content of food would significanly increase the total cholesterol content and the LDL (p = 0.03 respectively).
     
    Kolesterol adalah senyawa kimia yang dibutuhkan oleh tubuh sebab merupakan prekursor dari semua steroid didalam tubuh seperti kortikosteroid, hormon seks, garam empedu dan vitamin D. Kelebihan atau kekurangan senyawa ini akan berdampak negatif bagi tubuh. Pemberian teh hijau 2% pada pakan tinggi lemak dan latihan teratur diharapkan dapat menekan peningkatan kadar profil lipid mencit. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan fisik dan pemberian ekstrak teh hijau terhadap profil lipid pada mencit dengan pakan tinggi lemak. Mencit (Mus Musculus) jantan dibagi dalam 4 kelompok dimana tiap kelompok terdiri dari 9 ekor. Pemeriksaan profil lipid masing-masing kelompok diperiksa pada hari ke 21 (4 ekor) dan pada hari ke 42 (5 ekor). Seluruh mencit mengkonsumsi pakan tinggi lemak, kelompok pertama ditambahkan 2% ekstrak teh hijau dan perlakuan berenang, kelompok kedua ditambahkan 2% ekstrak teh hijau tanpa perlakuan berenang, kelompok ketiga perlakuan berenang tanpa ekstrak teh hijau dan kelompok keempat tanpa ekstrak teh hijau dan tanpa perlakuan berenang. Berenang dilakukan selama 40 menit dan dilakukan 3 kali seminggu selama penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tidak ada pengaruh aktifitas fisik dan pemberian ekstrak teh hijau terhadap profil lipid mencit. Pemberian pakan tinggi lemak meningkatkan kadar kolesterol total dan LDL secara signifikan (masing-masing p = 0,03)
