    Abstract
Research has been done making edible films from cassava starch, glycerol and the addition pemlastis stems of cassava powder as filler material based on Casting method which uses the principle Gelatuation of 10 g cassava starch, 1 g glycerol, 100 g of water and 0.5 g of powdered stem cassava. The purpose of this study was to investigate the biodegradation edible cassava starch films in the waste land, garden soil and sand beaches, and in the Potatoe Dextro Agar medium mushrooms infused A. Niger and toxicity testing in the media E. Coli. Biodegradation tests in the sand, garden soil, waste soil were observed for 3 days with the percentage change in the mass of film of 29.71%; 34.92%; 51.71% for films containing powder of 25.53%; 33.44 %; and 40.42% respectively for films without powder. Biodegradation test film for 3 days on PDA medium mushrooms infused A. Niger gained 54.86% of mass change for the film containing powder and 26.70% for films that do not contain powder. These data are supported by test results of FTIR and SEM. For toxicity tests it was found a clear zone on the starch-containing powders of 5 mm and therefore the zone of toxicity obtained of 0.67 mm.
