Kecemasan Menghadapi Assessment Centre berdasarkan Kepribadian Big Five dan Persepsi Dukungan Organisasi (Anxiety Toward Assessment Centre Based On Big Five Personality and Perceived Organizational Support)

In the eraof globalization, the role ofhuman resourcesis increasingly importantin
achievingorganizational goals. Assessment centre in human resourcesmanagement
isone of the methodsof evaluationand selectionin the promotionof employees.
Evaluation process in assessment center process, may lead anxiety for employees.
The level of anxiety is influencedbypersonalityand perceivedorganizational
support. The purposeof thisstudywas to determine therelationbetween big
fivepersonalityandperceived organizational supporttoemployees’ anxiety toward
assessmentcenter. Participants in this study were 241 employees of
Telecommunication Company with minimal equivalentto thepost of assistance
manager. Sampling method was non-probability incidental sampling technique.
Data was collected using anxiety toward assessmentcentrescale, big five
inventoryand perceived organizational support scale and statistically analysis was
using Pearson correlation. The analysis showed that anxiety toward assessment
center anxiety were negatively related to extraversion, openness to experience and
organizational support. Anxiety toward assessment center anxiety were positively
related to neuroticism, and conscientiousness. The implication of this study is to
contribute the management to foster a sense of security and confidence of
employee in facing of assessment centre. Dalam era globalisasi, peranan sumber daya manusia semakin penting dalam
meraih tujuan organisasi.Assessment centredalam pengelolaan sumber daya
manusia merupakan salah satu metode evaluasi dan seleksi dalam promosi
karyawan. Adanya proses evaluasi pada assessment centre, dapat menimbulkan
kecemasan bagi karyawan. Tingkat kecemasan yang dirasakan karyawan dapat
disebabkan oleh kepribadian dan persepsi dukungan organisasi.Tujuan penelitian
ini adalah untuk mengetahui kaitan antara kepribadian big five dan persepsi
dukungan organisasi dengan kecemasan menghadapi assessment centre.
Partisipandalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan PT. Telekomunikasi
Indonesia,Tbk dan melibatkan 241 pekerja dengan posisi jabatan minimal setara
dengan assistance manager. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode non
probability dengan teknik incidental sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan
menggunakan skala kecemasan menghadapi assessment centre,big five inventory
dan skala persepsi dukungan organisasi. Analisis statistik menggunakan teknik
korelasi pearson product moment. Hasil analisis menunjukkan kecemasan
menghadapi assessment centre berhubungan negatif dengan trait extraversion,
openness to experience dan dukungan organisasi. Serta berhubungan positif
dengan neuroticismdan conscientiousness. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah
memberi kontribusi pada manajemen perusahaan untuk menumbuhkan rasa aman
dan percaya diri karyawan dalam menghadapi assessment centre.
