    Evaluasi Pola Konsumsi Suplemen pada Personil Mapolda Sumatera Utara

    Abstract
    Supplements contain one or more ingredients including vitamins and minerals. Considering the physical activity of the headquarters regional police officer of north sumatera, the consumption of supplements has increased. Polyclinic data shows that the demand for supplements is the largest compared to other drugs. The research aims to find out the factors which affects the consumption pattern of supplements, know the relationship between the factors of supplement use and the consumption pattern of the headquarters regional police officer of north sumatera as well prove the potential for drug interactions anticholesterol, antihypertensives, antiuric acid, and antidiabetic with supplements. This research is a descriptive research with a survey method. Data was collected to 373 personnel from headquarters regional police officer of north sumatera. This study used the dependent variable, namely the pattern of supplement consumption, while the independent variables were age, gender, health status, perception, information sources and physical activity. The results of the study used statistical tests descriptive and the chi-square test is presented using tables and percentages. The results showed that the factors that influence the pattern of supplement consumption are male gender (57.1%); age 30-49 years (62.5%); healthy/fit condition (63%); perception as a stamina enhancer (61.7%); sources of information on prescription of doctors/pharmacists advice (62.2%) and strenuous physical activity (49.9%). There is no relationship between the factors that influence the consumption of supplements with the pattern of supplement consumption among headquarters regional police officer of north sumatera based on the type of supplement except age (p-value 0.017), health status (p-value 0.000) and source of information (p-value 0.000). Based on the rules of use, the factor associated with the consumption pattern of supplements is perception (p-value 0.009). Based on the frequency of consumption, the factors related to the consumption pattern of supplements are information sources (p-value 0.029). There are synergistic interactions of anti-cholesterol drugs with supplements and antagonistic interactions of antihypertensive, anti-diabetic, anti-gout drugs with supplements.
     
    Suplemen mengandung satu atau lebih bahan termasuk di dalamnya vitamin dan mineral. Mengingat aktivitas fisik personil Markas Kepolisian Daerah (MAPOLDA) Sumatera Utara yang banyak, konsumsi suplemen meningkat. Data poliklinik menunjukkan bahwa permintaan suplemen termasuk paling banyak dibandingkan dengan obat lainnya. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pola konsumsi suplemen, mengetahui hubungan antara faktor-faktor penggunaan suplemen dengan pola konsumsi suplemen pada personil MAPOLDA Sumatera Utara serta membuktikan potensi interaksi obat antikolesterol, antihipertensi, antiasam urat, dan antidiabetes dengan suplemen. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan metode survei. Pengambilan data dilakukan terhadap 373 personil MAPOLDA Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan variabel terikat yaitu pola konsumsi suplemen sedangkan variabel bebas adalah umur, jenis kelamin, status kesehatan, persepsi, sumber informasi serta aktivitas fisik. Hasil penelitian menggunakan uji statistik deskriptif dan uji chi-square yang disajikan menggunakan tabel dan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pola konsumsi suplemen adalah jenis kelamin laki-laki (57,1%); umur 30-49 tahun (62,5%); kondisi sehat/bugar (63%); persepsi sebagai penambah stamina (61,7%); sumber informasi resep dokter/saran apoteker (62,2%) dan aktivitas fisik berat (49,9%). Tidak ada hubungan antara faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi konsumsi suplemen dengan pola konsumsi suplemen pada personil MAPOLDA Sumatera Utara berdasarkan jenis suplemen kecuali umur (p-value 0,017), status kesehatan (p-value 0,000) dan sumber informasi (p-value 0,000). Berdasarkan aturan pakai faktor yang berhubungan dengan pola konsumsi suplemen adalah persepsi (p-value 0,009). Berdasarkan frekuensi konsumsi faktor yang berhubungan dengan pola konsumsi suplemen yaitu sumber informasi (p-value 0,029). Terdapat interaksi Sinergis obat antikolesterol dengan suplemen dan interaksi antagonis obat antihipertensi , antidiabetes, anti asam urat dengan suplemen.
