dc.description.abstractThe research of “ Vegetation Diversity and Calculation of Carbon Sink in Kuala Indah Mangrove Forest Batu Bara” to determine the diversity and dominance of mangroves, the carbon sink and the level of destruction of mangrove forests in the Mangrove Forest of Kuala Indah, Location of study determined by purposive sampling method by determining the location of the study deliberately considered representative. Collecting data on the location of the research by using the kuwadrat method with sample plot size 10 x 10 for the category tree and 5 x 5 for the category of saplings (tree seedlings), whereas the estimated rate of mangrove destruction refers to the decisions of the Minister of Environment Number 201 of 2004 dated 13 in October 2004 on the Criteria and Guidelines for Mangrove Damage Determination. The results of the 20 plot samples taken found 6 species of mangrove vegetation that is Heritiera littolaris, Excoecaria agallocha, Calophyllum sp, Xylocarpus granatum, Scyphipora hydrophyllaceae and Avicennia alba. Closure of the mangrove vegetation of 46.44% (classified as damaged diversity) with carbon reserves amounted to 36.449 to 6 tonnes / ha for tree level and 20.466-6 ton/ ha to the level of stake (seedlings), total carbon stock in the mangrove forest with an area of 70 ha is a 56.915-6 ton/ ha, with the level of damage to mangrove forests classified as damaged.en_US
dc.description.abstractPenelitian Keanekaragaman Vegetasi dan Perhitungan Karbon Tesimpan pada Vegetasi Mangrove di Hutan Mangrove Kuala Indah Kabupaten Batu Bara bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman dan dominansi mangrove, potensi karbon tersimpan dan tingkat kerusakan hutan mangrove di Hutan Mangrove Kuala Indah Kabupaten Batu Bara. Lokasi penelitian ditetapkan dengan metode Purposive Sampling yaitu metode penentuan lokasi penelitian secara sengaja yang dianggap representatif. Pengambilan data pada lokasi penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kuwadrat dengan ukuran petak contoh 10 x 10 untuk kategori pohon dan 5 x 5 untuk kategori pancang (anakan pohon), sedangkan perkiraan tingkat kerusakan mangrove mengacu kepada Keputusan Menteri Negara Lingkungan Hidup Nomor 201 Tahun 2004 tanggal 13 Oktober 2004 tentang Kriteria Baku dan Pedoman Penentuan Kerusakan Mangrove. Hasil penelitian dari 20 plot contoh yang diambil ditemukan 6 jenis vegetasi mangrove yaitu Heritiera littolaris, Excoecaria agallocha, Calophyllum sp, Xylocarpus granatum, Scyphipora hydrophyllaceae dan Avicennia alba. Penutupan vegetasi mangrove sebesar 46,44 % (keanekaragaman tergolong rusak) dengan cadangan karbon sebesar 36,449-6 ton/ha untuk tingkatan pohon dan 20,466-6 ton/ha untuk tingkatan pancang (anakan pohon) total cadangan karbon pada hutan mangrove dengan luas wilayah + 70 ha adalah 56,915-6ton/ha dengan tingkat kerusakan hutan mangrove tergolong rusak.en_US
