dc.description.abstractThe Distribution and Reproduction Performance of Mangrove Crab Scylla oceanica in Belawan Mangrove Ecosystem has been studied. The research objective is to determine distribution of mangrove crab S oceanica; determine female crab reproduction performance, and to determine the biophysical chemistry parameters which is the most responsible for the survival of mangrove crab S. oceanica. The abundance of mangrove crab abundance were analyzed based on class of size and sex, the distribution of mangrove crabs is analysed distribution index, and the level of gonad maturity with visual observations at the bottom abdomen. The research show that the distribution of S. oceanica is catagorized as clumped distribution pattern, gonad maturity female crab levels 1, 2 and 3 found in all station, but gonad maturity female crab level 4 only found in station 2 and 3. Correlation analysis show that water pH is clearly effected the abundance on mangrove crab.en_US
dc.description.abstractDistribusi dan Performa Reproduksi Kepiting Bakau Scylla oceanica di Ekosistem Mangrove Belawan telah diteliti. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui distribusi kepiting bakau S oceanica, mengetahui performa reproduksi kepiting bakau betina dan mengetahui parameter biofisik kimia lingkungan yang paling berpengaruh terhadap kelimpahan kepiting bakau S. oceanica. Kelimpahan kepiting bakau dianalisa berdasarkan kelas ukuran dan jenis kelamin, distribusi kepiting bakau menggunakan Indeks Distribusi Morisita dan tingkat kematangan gonad dengan pengamatan visual pada bagian bawah abdomen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan distribusi kepiting bakau S. oceanica termasuk ke dalam pola distribusi berkelompok. kepiting betina matang gonad tingkat 1, 2 dan 3 dijumpai pada tiap stasiun, sedangkan kepiting betina matang gonad tingkat 4 hanya dijumpai pada stasiun 2 dan 3. Hasil analisis korelasi menunjukkan bahwa parameter pH air berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap kelimpahan kepiting bakau.en_US
