    Studi Penggunaan Amida Asam Lemak Campuran Minyak Kelapa Sebagai Bahan Pengemulsi Lateks Pekat

    Abstract
    Fatty acid methyl ester mixture can be made through interesterification reaction between coconut oil and methanol with a catalyst H2SO4(p) at a temperature of 800C for five hours. The result of this mixture of fatty acid ester is reacted with urea for 5 hours at a temperature of 1400C to produce a mixture of fatty acid amide. Amide was added to the concentrated latex with a concentration of 0%, 0.03%, 0.05%, 0.07%, 0.09% and time of storage for 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 days. The results obtained were analyzed by using GC, Spectroscopy FT - IR, HLB and MST. Data analysis showed that the formation of a mixture of fatty acid methyl esters and fatty acid amide mixture.     Metil ester asam lemak campuran dapat dibuat melalui reaksi interesterifikasi antara minyak kelapa dan metanol dengan katalis H2SO4(p) pada suhu 800C selama 5 jam. Hasil ester asam lemak campuran ini direaksikan dengan urea selama 5 jam pada suhu 1400C menghasilkan amida asam lemak campuran. Amida tersebut ditambahkan pada lateks pekat dengan konsentrasi 0%; 0,03%; 0,05%; 0,07%; 0,09% dan waktu penyimpanan selama 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 dan 25 hari. Hasil yang diperoleh dianalisa dengan menggunakan GC, Spektroskopi FT – IR, HLB dan MST. Data analisa menunjukkan bahwa terbentuknya metil ester asam lemak campuran dan amida asam lemak campuran. Aplikasi penggunaan amida asam lemak campuran pada lateks pekat memberikan nilai MST pada konsentrasi 0,09% dengan waktu penyimpanan 10 – 25 hari dan memenuhi Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI).
