Perbandingan Terjadinya Epitelialisasi pada Luka Bakar Derajat Dua dengan Pemakaian Aloe Vera dan Moist Exposed Burn Oinment pada Hewan Coba

Abstract

Introduction. Treatment of Burns have complexity in terms of wound healing and infection. One effective way to prevent this is with a topical medication. It is still investigational topical medication that has the effect of rapid healing, pain relief, can leave smooth of scars, low cost and short hospital stay. In this study, two topical regimen is compared, that use the Moist Exposed Burn oinment (MEBO) and Aloe vera. Method. 18 rats in animal laboratory artificially created for second-degree burns, and then divided into 3 groups. The first group as control, the second group given MEBO and the third group was given Aloe vera. 18 rats were assessed area of burn and wound histology on days 3, 7 and 14. Result. On examination of the burn area found that there were significant differences in all three groups of mice at day 7 and 14 (p <0.05), in which extensive wound MEBO group is smaller than in Aloe vera and aloe vera extensive wounds smaller than the control group. While the histological examination showed that microscopically there were significant differences in the occurrence of epithelialization in three groups, where theMEBO group is better than Aloe vera group, and Aloe vera group is better than the control group. Conclusion. There is a significant difference in the epithelialization occurrences in second-degree burns with MEBO and Aloe vera application in rats, where the use of MEBO better than Aloe vera.

Pendahuluan. Penanganan luka bakar mempunyai kompleksitas dalam hal penyembuhan luka dan infeksi. Salah satu cara yang efektif dalam mencegah hal tersebut adalah dengan obat topikal. Sampai saat ini masih diteliti obat topikal yang mempunyai efek penyembuhan yang cepat, dapat mengurangi rasa nyeri, dapat meninggalkan bekas luka yang halus, biaya yang murah dan lama rawatan rumah sakit yang pendek. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan perbandingan terhadap dua obat topikal yaitu menggunakan Moist Exposed Burn Oinment (MEBO) dan Aloe vera. Metode. 18 ekor tikus dalam laboratorium hewan dibuatkan luka bakar artifisial derajat dua, kemudian dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok. Kelompok pertama sebagai kontrol, kelompok kedua diberikan MEBO dan kelompok ketiga diberikan Aloe vera. 18 ekor tikus dinilai luas luka bakar dan pemeriksaan histologi luka pada hari ke 3, 7 dan 14. Hasil. Pada pemeriksaan luas luka bakar didapatkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna pada ketiga kelompok tikus tersebut pada hari ke 7 dan 14 (p<0,05), dimana luas luka kelompok MEBO lebih kecil daripada kelompok Aloe vera, dan luas luka kelompok aloe vera lebih kecil daripada kelompok kontrol. Sedangkan pada pemeriksaan histologi didapatkan bahwa secara mikroskopik terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna terjadinya epitelialisasi pada ketiga kelompok, dimana kelompok MEBO lebih baik daripada kelompok Aloe vera dan kelompok Aloe vera lebih baik daripada kelompok kontrol. Simpulan. Terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna terjadinya epitelialisasi pada luka bakar derajat dua dengan pemakaian MEBO dan Aloe vera pada hewan coba tikus, dimana pemakaian MEBO lebih baik dibandingkan dengan Aloe vera.
