dc.description.abstract | A antimicrobial of activity of avocado seed extracts (Persea americana Miill.) to
several microbial pathogens in vitro had been conducted. This study aims to determine
the antimicrobial potential of avocado seed extract towards several microbial
pathogens in vitro. The results of antimicrobial activity of various solven extracts test
showed that avocado (Persea americana Mill.) seed extract inhibit growth of Candida
albicans, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella thypii. Inhibition
zone of seed extract in varions solven, they are Metanol,Etil asetat and n-Heksan have
similar value at concentration 5%, 10% 15% and 20%. The Brine Shrimp Lethality test
showed avocado seed extract has a very high toxicity. Ethyl acetate extract was the
most toxic. The result showed that the Metanol extract contains compounds secondary
metabolites compounds alkaloid and phenolic. Ethyl acetat extract of secondary
metabolit tontain alkaloids class and fenolik the ethyl acetate extract containing
scondary metabolites and terpenoid class of n-hexana extract containing secondary

dc.description.abstract | Penelitian aktivitas antimikroba ekstrak biji alpukat (Persea americana Mill.) terhadap
beberapa mikroba patogen secara in vitro telah dilaksanakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan
untuk mengetahui potensi antimikroba ekstrak biji alpukat terhadap beberapa mikroba
patogen secara in vitro. Hasil uji aktivitas antimikroba berbagai pelarut ekstrak biji
alpukat menunjukkan hambatan pertumbuhan terhadap Candida albicans, Escherichia
coli, Staphylococcus aureus dan Salmonella thypii. Zona hambat ekstrak biji alpukat
berbagai pelarut yaitu Metanol, Etil asetat dan n-Heksana memiliki nilai yang hampir
sama pada konsentrasi 5%, 10% 15% dan 20%. Uji Brine Shrimp Lethality Test
menunjukkan ketiga ekstrak biji alpukat memiliki toksisitas yang sangat tinggi. Ekstrak
etil asetat merupakan yang paling toksik. Hasil uji yang dilakukan didapatkan bahwa
ekstrak metanol mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder golongan alkaloid dan
fenolik, ekstrak etil asetat mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder golongan terpenoid
dan ekstrak n-heksana mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder golongan terpenoid
