Employee readiness for change is essential in the success of organizational
changes. If the employees are ready, they will be able to deal with the
organizational changes. Employee readiness for change has a positive impact on
organizational change. There are various factors can affect on employee readiness
for change such as job involvement and work values. The purpose of this study is
to identify and examine the role of job involvement and work value toward
employee readiness for change at PT. INALUM. The instruments used in this
study were scale of readiness for change, scale of job involvement and scale of
work value. The study involved 302 employees PT.Inalum. The multiple
reggresion analysis results showed that role of job involvement and work values
influenced to employee readiness for change (R=0.165, R2
=0.149, F = 346.177; p
<0.05). Job involvement and work values positively influenced to employees
readiness for change at PT.Inalum. Job involvement and work values contributed
to increasing of employee readiness for change 69,8% (R-square=0.698). The
implications of this study are expected to management in order to increasing the
understanding of values and goals of the organization and also involve employees
in organizational decision. Kesiapan individu untuk berubah merupakan hal yang penting dalam keberhasilan
organisasi untuk melakukan perubahan. Apabila karyawan siap maka mereka akan
mampu mengikuti perubahan organisasi yang terjadi. Kesiapan karyawan untuk
berubah akan membawa dampak positif bagi perubahan organisasi. Ada berbagai
faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kesiapan berubah pada karyawan diantaranya
job involvement dan work value. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui
peranan job involvement dan work value terhadap kesiapan berubah pada
karyawan PT. Inalum. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala
kesiapan berubah, job involvement serta skala work value. Penelitian ini
melibatkan 302 karyawan PT.Inalum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa
peranan job involvement dan work value berpengaruh positif terhadap kesiapan
berubah pada karyawan PT. Inalum (R=0,165, R2
=0,149, F= 346.177; p<0.05).
Job involvement dan work value memberikan kontribusi terhadap kesiapan
berubah sebesar 69,8% (R-square=0.698). Implikasi dari penelitian ini diharapkan
kepada pihak manajemen agar dapat mempertahankan pemahaman akan nilai-nilai
dan tujuan organisasi serta melibatkan karyawan dalam membuat keputusan
organisasi.
