    Perencanaan Instalasi Pengolahan Lumpur Tinja (IPLT) di Perumahan Citra Wisata dengan Menggunakan Anaerobic Digestion

    Abstract
    Access to sanitation is one of the basic needs to support public health, environment and economic well-being in a sustainable manner. But mostly treatment plant facilities have not paid attention to the treatment of fecal sludge. Fecal sludge contains infectious organism that can survives even after being processed at the on-site waste water treatment plant. This design aims to plan the Fecal Sludge Treatment Plant (FSTP) in Citra Wisata Residence and calculate the volume of biogas produced. The processing unit chosen is alternative two, starting from the bar screen, equalization tank, anaerobic digester, facultative pond, sludge drying bed and dry solids container. The planned FSTP is able to reduce the concentration of BOD by 98%, COD 97%, TSS 92% and total coliform 99% with a total retention times are 67.6 days. The volume of methane gas produced from the anaerobic digester processing unit is 0.46 m3/day. The amount of dry matter produced from the sludge drying bed unit is 2.68 Kg/day where the sludge can be used as plant fertilizer.
     
    Akses terhadap sanitasi merupakan salah satu kebutuhan dasar untuk mendukung kesehatan masyarakat, lingkungan dan kesejahteraan ekonomi secara berkelanjutan. Namun sebagian besar fasilitas pengolahan belum memperhatikan pengelolaan lumpur tinja. Lumpur tinja mengandung organisme infeksius yang masih bisa bertahan hidup walaupun tinja sudah mengalami pengolahan di unit pengolahan setempat. Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk merencanakan Instalasi Pengolahan Lumpur Tinja (IPLT) di Perumahan Citra Wisata. Adapun sistem pengolahan yang terpilih adalah alternatif dua yaitu dimulai dari bar screen, bak ekualisasi, anaerobic digester, kolam fakultatif, sludge drying bed dan penampung padatan kering.IPLT yang direncanakan mampu mereduksi konsentrasi BOD sebesar 98%, COD 97%, TSS 92% dan total koliform 99% dengan waktu tinggal total yaitu 67,6 hari. Volume gas metan yang dihasilkan dari unit pengolahan anaerobic digester adalah sebesar 0,46 m3/hari. Adapun lumpur kering yang dihasilkan dari unit sludge drying bed adalah sebesar 2,68 Kg/hari dimana lumpur kering tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pupuk tanaman.
