The aim of this research are to find out the valid and objective description based on the empiric data got from some direct observations from the respondents who use Indonesian complex-sentences, to describe then use of Indonesian complex-sentnces through picture media by pre-school students, to describe the patterns of Indonesian complex-sentences used to understanding the picture media, to describe the influential factors of the use of Indonesian complex-sentences. The data source is collected from the oral communication of 8 students, 4-5 years old, of Taman Kanak-Kanak Raudhatul Athfal Nurul Hidayah Lubuk Pakam in academic year 2012/2013. The collecting data is performed cross-sectionally for 3 months. The technique of collecting data are observation, record, story-telling and note-comprehension. The data analysis is done by applying criteria of the comprehensibility-occurence, i.e. a part of utterence of correspondent is regarded as competence reflection if it has semantic coherence with oter parts in their sentences. Through this criteria, it is known that the complex sentence occurence is often present and true, present but still wrong, and not present. It is concluded that :
a) The respondents really mastered Indonesian complex sentences.
b) The respondents are still in process of mastery the Indonesian complex sentences.
c) Complex sentences that will be mastered by the respondents.
