dc.description.abstractAgricultural products, including potatoes, are still faced with several problems the giudance of Mrs. Ir iskandarini, MM. Ph.D as chairman with fluctuations and quite high price sensitivity, mainly due to changes in demand and supply. Decreased (degenerative) production occurs because of the disease that accumulates in each generation of potato seeds and continues to be carried over to the next generation. So that certified potato seeds are needed to increase farmers' production. This study will analyze the influence of the factors of farmer age, education level, farming experience, productivity, seed price, land area, farmer group participation in influencing farmers' decisions to use certified potato seeds. From the total population of potato farmers as many as 365 farmers in Parbuluan district, Dairi regency, North Sumatra, testing was carried out on 78 samples using logistic regression analysis. The results showed that the variables of productivity, price, farmer group participation had a significant effect on the use of certified potato seeds, while the variables of age, education, experience, area land does not have a significant effect on the use of certified potato seeds and productivity, price, farmer group participation, age, education, experience, and land area all influence farmers' decisions to use certified potato seeds.en_US
dc.description.abstractProduk pertanian, termasuk kentang masih dihadapkan pada beberapa permasalahan fluktuasi dan sensitivitas harga yang cukup tinggi, terutama karena perubahan permintaan dan penawaran. Penurunan (degeneratif) produksi terjadi karena adanya penyakit yang terakumulasi pada setiap generasi benih kentang dan terus terbawa pada generasi selanjutnya. Sehingga diperlukan benih kentang bersertifikat untuk meningkatkan produksi petani. Dalam penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh faktor-faktor umur petani, tingkat pendidikan, pengalaman usaha tani, produktivitas, harga benih, luas lahan, keikutsertaan kelompok tani mempengaruhi keputusan petani menggunakan benih kentang bersertifikat. Dari jumlah populasi petani kentang sebanyak 365 petani di Kecamatan Parbuluan, Kabupaten Dairi, Sumatera Utara, dilakukan pengujian pada 78 sampel dengan menggunakan Analisis Regresi Logistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel produktivitas, harga benih, keikutsertaan kelompok tani berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penggunaan benih kentang bersertifikat, sedangkan variabel umur, pendidikan, pengalaman, luas lahan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penggunaan benih kentang bersertifikat serta produktivitas, harga benih, keikutsertaan kelompok tani, umur, pendidikan, pengalaman, luas lahan bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap keputusan petani menggunakan benih kentang bersertifikat.en_US
