dc.description.abstractIntroduction and Objective. Changes in the structural appearance of the optic nerve head (ONH) and retinal nerve fiber layer (RFNL) have been reported to procede the development of visual field loss in glaucoma. Detection of ONH dan RFNL damage is, therefore crucial for early diagnosis of glaucoma in glaucoma suspect patients. The aim of the study was to compare ONH measurement obtaned by Funduscopic Photography and Stratus OCT in glaucoma suspect patients. Methods. The observational cross–sectional study include 56 eyes of 28 patients with glaucoma suspect. Informed consent was obtained from all subjets. All subjects had a negative history for systemic diseases such as diabetes mellitus and hypertension and underwent complete opthalmic examination including slit–lamp examination, dilated funduscopic examination, gonioscopy, perimetry, non–contact pneumotonometry, funduscopic Photography and ONH imaging using stratus OCT. Result. The Cup/Disc ratio measurement by Stratus OCT were compare with Funduscopic Photography assessment to glaucoma suspect patients with Chi square and Exact Fisher statistic test are obtained sensitivity 84,4% and specificity 83,3%. Conclusion. OCT (stratus OCT, carl zeiss) showed good sensitivity and specificity in glaucoma suspect patients measurement of ONH to detection of early glaucomatous damage and may provide clinically relevant information for diagnosting and monitoring glaucoma patients.en_US
dc.description.abstractPendahuluan dan Tujuan. Perubahan struktur yang tampak pada ONH (Optic Nerve Head) dan RNFL (Retinal Nerve fiber layer) telah dilaporkan mendahului perkembangan kehilangan lapang pandangan pada glaukoma. Deteksi kerusakan ONH dan RNFL selanjutnya menjadi sangat penting untuk diagnosa awal glaukoma pada pasien suspek. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan penilaian parameter optic nerve head dengan fundus kamera dan optical coherence tomography (OCT) pada pasien suspek glaukoma. Metode. Penelitian observasional potong lintang melibatkan 56 mata dari 28 pasien dengan suspek glaukoma. Informed consent diperoleh dari semua subjek. Semua subjek tidak memiliki riwayat penyakit sistemik seperti diabetes mellitus dan hipertensi dan menjalani pemeriksaan mata lengkap termasuk pemeriksaan slit–lamp, pemeriksaan funduskopi, gonioscopy, perimetry, non-kontak pneumotonometry, gambaran ONH menggunakan fundus kamera dan stratus OCT. Hasil. Pengukuran Cup/Disc ratio dengan Stratus OCT dibandingkan dengan Foto fundus pada pasien suspek glaucoma dengan uji statistik Chi square dan uji Exact Fisher diperoleh nilai sensitifitas 84,4% dan spesifisitas 83,3%. Kesimpulan. OCT (Stratus OCT, Carl zeiss) menunjukkan sensitivitas dan spesifisitas yang baik dalam mendeteksi perubahan awal optic nerve head pada pasien suspek glaukoma dan dapat memberikan informasi yang relevan secara klinis untuk diagnosis dan pemantauan pasien glaukoma.en_US
