Fonotaktik Fonem Dalam Bahasa Pesisir Sibolga

Abstract

The objective of the research was to analyze the dialect at BPS (Sibolga Coastal Area) from its phonotactic and to describe the phonotactic structure of phonemes in the syllable of the dialect at BPS. The study used descriptive qualitative method. The research was focused on phonotactic structure of phonemes in a series of vowel and consonants, phonotactic structure of phonemes in syllables, and phonotactic structure in words of BPS. There are 11 types of vowel series in the phonotactic structure of phonemes in the dialect of BPS: /ai/, /aa/, /ae/, /ie/, /oa/, /ia/, /au/, /ou/, /ua/, /uo/, and /iu/. They are found in three word positions: initial position, middle position, and final position. There are 11 types of consonant series in the phonotactic structure of phonemes in BPS consonant series: /ñ-j/, /ŋ-k/, /n-t/, /ŋ-g/, /c-c/, /m-m/, /k-k/, /m-p/, /m-b/, /ñ-c/, and /n-d/. Phonatactic structure of phonemes in syllables is divided into four parts: phonotactic structure of phonemes in words which has one syllable, phonotactic structure of phonemes which has two syllables, phonotactic structure of phonemes which has three syllables, and phonotactic structure of phonemes which has four syllables. Based on the result of the research on phonotactic phonemes in the dialect of BPS, it was found that there were some phonotactic patterns of phonemes in BPS. The patterns are V, VK, KV, KVK, KKV, KKVK, and KKKVK.

Tesis ini bertujuan untuk menelaah bahasa Pesisir Sibolga dari sudut fonotaktiknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur fonotaktik fonem di dalam suku kata bahasa Pesisir Sibolga, metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini berfokus pada struktur fonotaktik fonem di dalam deret vokal dan deret konsonan, struktur fonotaktik fonem di dalam suku kata dan pola struktur fonotaktik fonem dalam kata bahasa Pesisir Sibolga. Struktur fonotaktik fonem di dalam deret vokal bahasa Pesisir Sibolga ditemukan 11 (sebelas) jenis deret vokal, yaitu: / ai /, / aa /, / ae /, / ie /, / oa /, / ia /, / au /, / ou /, / ua /, / uo /, dan / iu /. Kesebelas jenis deret vokal tersebut terdapat pada tiga posisi, yaitu posisi awal, tengah, dan akhir kata. Struktur fonotaktik fonem di dalam deret konsonan BPS ditemukan ada sebelas jenis deret konsonan, yaitu: /ñ-j/, /ŋ-k/, /n-t/, /ŋ-g/, /c-c/, /m-m/, /k-k/, /m-p/, /m-b/, /ñ-c/, dan /n-d/. Struktur fonotaktik fonem di dalam suku kata dibagi menjadi empat bagian, yaitu struktur fonotaktik fonem di dalam kata yang bersuku kata satu, bersuku kata dua, bersuku kata tiga, dan bersuku kata empat. Berdasarkan pada hasil penelitian tentang Fonotaktik Fonem dalam bahasa Pesisir Sibolga (BPS) ditemukan beberapa pola fonotaktik fonem dalam BPS. Pola-pola tersebut adalah sebagai berikut: V, VK, KV, KVK, KKV, KKVK, dan KKKVK.
