Alquran give to first place water in reeling of natural phenomenon than earth. The Water Cycles have got the very precise picture in Alquran. The water Phenomenon to represent the picture process the creation which is the no desisting, as Alquran expression: that from water created all which live. Its meaning: if Alquran converse something, hence something that's important to be learned the. side of Erudition Alquran have invited a lot of attention as evidence that Alquran non ordinary books, a n d n o n a l s o c r e a t i o n M u h a m m a d , b e c a u s e P r o p h e t M u h a m m a d impossible to able to create the Al-quran. Keadaan planet yang kaya akan air yakni bumi, merupakan keadaan yang unik dalam sistem matahari seperti dibuktikan oleh sains modern. Tanpa air, bumi akan menjadi planet mati seperti bukan. Alquran memberi kepada air tempat yang pertama dalam penyebutan f e n o m e n a a l a m i a h d a r i p a d a b u mi . Fenomena air merupakan gambaran proses penciptaan yang tiada henti, sebagaimana Alquran menyatakan bahwa dari airlah diciptakan segala yang hidup. Alquran berbicara sesuatu, maka sesuatu itu penting untuk dipelajari. Sisi keilmiahan Alquran telah mengundang banyak perhatian sebagai bukti bahwa Alquran bukan kitab biasa, dan bukan pula ciptaan M u h a m m a d , k a r e n a N a b i M u h a m m a d t i d a k m u n g k i n m a m p u menciptakan Alquran. Keistimewaan Alquran berbeda jauh dengan Hadis yang dapat dikritik, sementara kritikan terhadap Alquran justru semakin memperkokoh Alquran sebagai kitab suci yang pantas untuk dipedomani. Alquran sebagai sumber informasi tentang air merupakan tema dari tulisan ini, penulis bahas berdasarkan pendekatan dan metodologi yang penulis pilih yakni tematik dan hermeneutika penulis tertarik membahas metode ini agar lebih pas dengan tema yang akan dibahas, sebab menurut penulis walaupun buku-buku tafsir sudah banyak yang t e r b i t n a m u n y a n g k h u s u s m e m b a h a s t e n t a n g a i r m a s i h s a n g a t t e r b a t a s . U n t u k s e d i k i t m e n j a w a b k e k u r a n g a n i t u m a k a p e n u l i s berusaha mengatasinya dengan cara mencoba membahas tentang air dengan harapan masalah air tidak lagi dianggap sebagai masalah yang sederhana akan tetapi masalah penting yang harus dihadapi mengingat masalah air sudah merupakan masalah internasional, akibat efek-efek yang ditimbulkannya semacam banjir maupun gelombang Tsunami yang banyak memusnahkan manusia, karena masalah air merupakan masalah manusia sepanjang sejarah yang bersifat alamiah sudah tentu pembahasannya juga harus sesuai dengan sifat dan watak alamiah dari air. Begitupun pembahasannya juga tetap merujuk kepada kitab suci Alquran. Hanya saja tafsir yang berkembang selama ini nampaknya tidak lagi banyak membantu menjawab tantangan itu, tetapi penulis harus berani mengambil metode tematik dan hermeneutika sejauh tidak bertentangan dengan kaidah yang berlaku di dalam ilmu-ilmu tafsir.
