    Sintesis Surfaktan Maltosil Laurat Melalui Reaksi Asetilasi Terhadap Maltosa yang Diikuti Reaksi Intersterifikasi dengan Metil Laurat

    Abstract
    Maltosa telah diasetilasi secara parsial dengan mereaksikan maltosa cair dan asetat anhidrid tanpa pelarut maupun katalis untuk menghasilkan maltosil asetat dengan rendemen sebesar 67%. Asam laurat dapat dimetanolisis dengan menggunakan H2S04 sebagai katalis menghasilkan metil laurat dengan rendemen sebesar 92%. Interesterifikasi metil laurat dengan maltosil asetat dalam pelarut methanol menggunakan katalis natrium metoksida pada kondisl refluks menghasilkan senyawa baru maltosil laurat yang selanjutnya dapat dimurnikan melalui kromatografi kolom dengan rendemen sebesar 59%. Senyawa metil laurat, maltosil asetat dan maltosil laurat dikonfirmasikan melalui analisis spektroskopi FT-1R dan 1H-NMR, sedangkan tegangan permukaan larutan maltosil laurat diukur dengan tensiometer Du-Nuoy untuk menentukan nilai HLB, dan diperoleh sebesar 2,67.
     
    Maltose has been partially acetylated from the reaction of melted maltose and acetic anhydride without solvent and catalyst to produce maltocyl acetate with the yield of 67%. Lauryc acid can be methanolized by using H2SO4 as the catalyst to produce methyl laurate with the yield of 92%. The interesterification of methyl laurate and maltocyl acetate in methanol using sodium methoxyde as the catalyst at reflux, yielded a novel compound maltocyl laurate after isolated by column chromatography, with the yield of 59%. Methyl laurate, maltocyl acetate, and maltocyl laurate were confirmed by FT-IR and 'H-NMR spectroscopy, and the surface tension of maltocyl laurate solution was determined by Du-Nuoy tensiometer to obtain the HLB value, of 2,67.
