Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Konsumsi Mahasiswa Asing di Universitas Sumatera Utara

Abstract

The purpose of this Study will be analyze to predisposing factors of students Consumption in North Sumatera University with using SPSS (Statistic Packages For the Social Sciences) tools consisting of factor analysis, Linear Regression Models and with exogenous variables are Income, Age, Life style, limited stayed permit, Saving, influence to endogenous variable of International Students Consumption. The use data was primary data taken from 92 audiences for questioner share in Medical and Dental Faculty of North Sumatera university in different enter school year and gender was based on the data of exogenous variable for variable income has influenced significantly for 1%, Life style for 7%, saving for 1% with coefficient α 10% and exogenous variable for Age, Immigration permit has influenced insignificantly For more than 10% to International Students Consumption. The result of this study will give the grant to the education International Industry that International students of North Sumatera University still in low consumption prices and reachable to have education in high knowledge but prices efficiently. Based on the results obtained from the analysis of the factors affecting the consumption of foreign students in Universities of North Sumatra, the researcher suggests that the income of foreign students can be given a scholarship from the government of Indonesia to foreign students who excel in order USU provide relief in the form of scholarships to pay tuition.

Konsumsi merupakan pembelanjaan yang dilakukan oleh rumah tangga atas barang-barang akhir dan jasa-jasa dengan tujuan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan. Konsumsi mahasiswa asing di Universitas Sumatera Utara sangat mempengaruhi laju pertumbuhan ekonomi kota Medan. Penelitian ini menganalisa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi konsumsi mahasiswa asing di Universitas Sunmatera Utara. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer yang diperoleh langsung dari responden melalui wawancara dengan model regresi berganda. Adapun menggunakan alat SPSS (Statistic Pasckages For the Social Sciences), Hasil Penelitian menujukkan bahwa secara serentak pendapatan, usia, Gaya hidup, Izin Keimigarasian, Tabungan mempengaruhi konsumsimahasiswa asing, berpengaruh terhadap konsumsi mahasiswa asing . Secara parsial variabel Pendapatan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Konsumsi, Usia berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap konsumsi mahasiswa asing, Gaya Hidup Berpengaruh Positif dan Signifikan terhadap konsumsi, Izin Keimigrasian bepengaruh Negartif dan tidak signifikan terhadap konsumsi dan tabungan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap konsumsi.
