dc.description.abstract | This research was conducted at private company in Kesawan area-Medan.
The sample of the water of the well before the purification process an the the sample
of the water as the product of purification process is taken by the purifier with the
combination of the treatment and it is analyzed at the Laboratory of the
Environmental Body of North Sumatera Province. The research was conducted by
flowing the water from the tank of the water of the well into furifier for each
treatment combination. The combination of the treatment for the number of zeolit and
the number of active carbon as well as the velocity of the best water flow determined
on the racapitulation of the product of the quality of the turbidity, iron elements and
the total of coliform in found the water.
The combination between the comparative of zeolit mass and active carbon as
well as the velocity have significant influence to the reduction of the turbidity, iron
elements, and the total of coliform. The combination of zeolit mass and active carbon
and the velocity of best flow is with composition 1/2 Z : 1/2 Aa (3,33 Kg Z : 3,75 Kg
Aa) with the velocity of the flow (V1) = 0,020 liter/second. This combination can to
reduce the well water turbidity was up 94,1% (from 45,7 NTU becomes 2,68 NTU),
the iron elements for 40,6% (from 0,064 mg/L becomes 0,038 mg/L), the total of
coliform for 94,5% (from 2000 MPN becomes 109 MPN). | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Penelitian ini dilakukan di perusahaan swasta di daerah Kelurahan Kesawan
Medan. Sampel air sumur sebelum proses penjernihan dan sampel air sumur hasil
proses penjernihan melalui alat penjernih dengan kombinasi perlakuan dianalisis
di Laboratorium Lingkungan Badan Lingkungan Hidup Provinsi Sumatera Utara
Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengalirkan air dari tanki air sumur ke alat penjernih
untuk masing-masing kombinasi perlakuan. Kombinasi perlakuan jumlah zeolit dan
jumlah arang aktif serta kecepatan aliran air yang terbaik ditentukan atas rekapitulasi
hasil kualitas kekeruhan air, unsur besi dan total coliform yang terdapat dalam air.
Kombinasi antara perbandingan massa zeolit dan arang aktip serta kecepatan
aliran berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap penurunan kekeruhan, unsur besi dan total
coliform. Kombinasi massa zeolit dan arang aktip dan kecepatan aliran terbaik adalah
komposisi 1/2 Z : 1/2 Aa (3,33 Kg Z : 3,75 Kg Aa) dengan Kecepatan Aliran (V1) =
0,020 liter/detik. Kombinasi ini dapat menurunkan kekeruhan air sampai 94,1% (dari
45,7 NTU menjadi 2,68 NTU), unsur besi sebesar 40,6% (dari 0,064 mg/L menjadi
0,038 mg/L), total coliform sebesar 94,5% (dari 2000 MPN menjadi 109 MPN). | en_US |
