The plant of soybean is as important food crop producing vegetation protein
since its nutrient contents is safe to consume and with inexpensive price compared to
other animal protein resources.
The productivity of soybean is still low recently in the level of farmers. Hence,
it requires the technology input such as the use of new variety, treatment of P element
and the use of paddy hay.
This research is intended to improve the growth and production of some
varieties of soy through the treatment of P element and modification of micro
climate by giving paddy hay. This research was carried out in the seed production
area of UPT.BBI Agriculture Department, North Sumatera Province located in
Tanjung Selamat village, Sunggal sub-district, Deli Serdang regency and lasted since
August up to November 2009.
This research uses blocks design containing 3 repetitions and 3 factors such
as variety as the first factor (Anjasmoro variety, Kaba and Sinabung). The second
factor is the phosphate fertilizing in the form of SP36 consisting of 4 levels, such
as 50 kg/ha, 100 kg/ha and 150 kg/ha. The third factor is the giving of paddy hay of 4
levels such as without paddy hay, 2.5 ton/ha,5,0 ton/ha, and 7.5 ton/ha.
The observed material are such as the height of plants, total of leaves square,
root volume,dried plants weight, relative growth rate, net assimilation rate, flowering
age, the absorption of P plants element, amount of primer branch, the amount of legume
per plant, amount of seed per plant, the weight of 100 seeds and production.
The results of the research show that the growth and production of soy for
Anjasmoro variety is better than other two varieties. The giving of paddy hay for 7.5
ton/ha tended to increase the growth and production of the soy. Whereas, phosphate
fertilizing (p) gives less positive response to the increase of the production for the
three varieties tested. | en_US |

bimbingan Dr. Ir Chairani Hanum, MP, sebagai ketua dan Luthfi Aziz Mahmud, SP,
MSC.PhD sebagai anggota.
Tanaman kedelai merupakan tanaman pangan penghasil protein nabati yang
sangat penting, karena kandungan gizinya aman dikonsumsi dan harganya relatif murah
dibandingkan dengan sumber protein hewani.
Produktifitas kedelai selama ini masih rendah ditingkat petani, oleh karena itu
diperlukan masukan teknologi berupa penggunaan varietas baru, pengelolaan hara P
maupun penggunaan mulsa jerami padi.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki pertumbuhan dan produksi beberapa
varietas kedelai melalui pengelolaan hara P dan modifikasi iklim mikro dengan
pemberian mulsa jerami. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan produksi benih UPT. BBI
Palawija Dinas Pertanian Propinsi Sumatera Utara yang berlokasi di desa Tanjung
Selamat Kecamatan Sunggal Kabupaten Deli Serdang, berlangsung sejak Agustus
sampai dengan November 2009.
Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan petak-petak terbagi dengan 3 ulangan dan
terdiri dari 3 faktor yaitu Varietas sebagai faktor pertama (varietas Anjasmoro, Kaba dan
Sinabung). Faktor kedua adalah Pemupukan Phosfat dalam bentuk SP36 terdiri 4 taraf
yaitu tanpa pupuk, 50 kg/ha, 100 kg/ha, dan 150 kg/ha. Faktor ketiga adalah pemberian
mulsa jerami 4 taraf yaitu tanpa mulsa jerami, 2,5 ton/ha, 5,0 ton/ha dan 7,5 ton/ha.
Peubah amatan yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, total luas daun, volume akar,
bobot kering tanaman, laju tumbuh relatif (LTR), laju asimilasi bersih (LAB), umur
berbunga, serapan hara P tanaman, jumlah cabang primer, jumlah polong per tanaman,
jumlah biji per tanaman, bobot 100 biji dan produksi.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan dan produksi kedelai varietas
Anjasmoro lebih baik dari kedua varietas lainnya. Pemberian mulsa jerami padi
sebanyak 7,5 ton/ha cenderung meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi kedelai,
sedangkan pemupukan phosfat (P) kurang memberikan respon yang positif terhadap
peningkatan produksi ketiga varietas yang diuji/digunakan. | en_US |
