Abstract

This thesis entitled Morfologi Verba Bahasa Nias Dialek Gunung Sitoli. This topic describes the characteristics of the verb, the process of morphology and the classification of verb in Nias language as basic cases to be analyzed. In case of solving the problems, the researcher uses the theory of Francis Katamba referring to the topic discussed The method used in this thesis is descriptive qualitative method, which describes and gives a description of tactual phenomenon or characteristics systematically and accurately. Based on this method the researcher discusses and describes the morphology of verb in Nias language in terms of semantic characteristics the process of morphology of verb and syntactic characteristics. Semantic characteristics refer to action, process and condition. These findings indicate that the morphology of verb in Nias Language can be described by the process of affixation, reduplication and composition, and while the syntactic characteristics of verb in Nias Language can be classified based on intransitive and transitive verb

Tesis ini berjudul Morfologi Verba Bahasa Nias Dialek Gunung Siloli. Kajian ini menjelaskan ciri-ciri verba, proses morfologi dan klasifikasi verba bahasa Nias sebagai kasus utama untuk dianalisis. Dalam kasus pemecahan masalah di atas, peneliti menggunakan teori Francis Katamba yang berhubungan dengan topik yang dibicarakan. Metode yang digunakan di dalam tesis ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif, metode yang menjabarkan dan memberikan gambaran fenomena atau ciri-oiri yang aktual secara sistematis dan akurat Berdasarkan metode ini, peneliti membahas dan menjabarkan morfology verba bahasa Nias yang mengacu pada ciri-ciri semantik, proses morfologi verba dan ciri-eiri sintaksis. Ciri-ciri semantik mengacu pada aksi atau proses dan keadaan, Temuan menunjukkan bahwa morfologi verba bahasa Nias dapat dideskripsikan melalui proses afiksasi, reduplikasi dan komposisi, sedangkan ciri sintaksis verba BN di klasifikasikan berdasarkan verba intransitive dan transitif
