The Analysis of the Internal Factors which Influence the Recruitment of New Employees (A Case Study at the Small Industries of Ready-Made Garment in Binjai Utara Subdistrict, Binjai). The supervisor was Dr. Rahmanta, M.Si (Chairperson) and Dr. Rujiman, M.A. (Member). The objective of the research was to analyze the influence of employees’ wages, employees’ productivity, and working capital on the recruitment of new employees in small industry of Ready-Made Garment in Binjai Utara Subdistrict, Binjai. The population was all small industry businesses of Ready-Made Garment in Binjai Utara Subdistrict which was conducted by using census method. The data were analyzed by using multiple linear regression analysis. The result of the research showed that 93.50% of the recruitment of new employees in small industries of ready-made garment in Binjai Utara Subdistrict, Binjai, could be explained by the variation of the variable of employee’ wages, the variable of employees’ productivity, and the variable of working capital, while the rest (6.5%) was explained by other variables excluded from the research. The variable of employees’ wages had positive but insignificant influence on the recruitment of new employees, the variable of employees’ productivity had negative but significant influence on the recruitment of new employees, and the variable of working capital had positive and significant influence on the recruitment of new employees. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis besarnya pengaruh upah tenaga kerja, produktivitas tenaga kerja, dan modal kerja terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri kecil konveksi pakaian jadi di Kecamatan Binjai Utara Kota Binjai. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pengusaha industri kecil konveksi pakaian jadi yang terdapat di Kecamatan Binjai Utara yang dilakukan dengan metode cacah lengkap (sensus). Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Regresi Linier Berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 93,50% penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri kecil konveksi pakaian jadi di Kecamatan Binjai Utara Kota Binjai dapat dijelaskan oleh variasi dari variabel upah tenaga kerja, variabel produktivitas tenaga kerja, dan variabel modal kerja, sedang sisanya yaitu sebesar 6,5% dijelaskan oleh variabel lain di luar model penelitian. Variabel upah tenaga kerja berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja, variabel produktivitas tenaga kerja berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja, dan variabel modal kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja.
