Analisis Usaha Ayam Pedaging Kemitraan dan Mandiri di Kecamatan Selesai dan Kecamatan Kuala Kabupaten Langkat

Abstract

Broilers are a kind of fowls which are available for food, especially as animal protein supplier. Broiler chicken has the strategic potential for fulfilling the need for chicken in order to support the government program for the national self-supporting meat in 2014. Besides that, it can also be used as a prospective business commodity because business of broilers is a very promising one. Therefore, it is necessary to do a research on how big its economic value. The objective of the research was to analyze partnership and independent businesses of broilers in Selesai Subdistrict and in Kuala Subdistrict, Langkat District. The data consisted of primary and secondary data, and the research was conducted in 2013. The data were analyzed by using disparity test model of two independent samples and simple correlation by using an SPSS 17 software program. The result of the analysis showed that there was the disparity in income, selling price, production, total cost, and supply between partnership broiler business and independent broiler business. From the viewpoints of income, selling price, total cost, and supply, independent broiler raisers was bigger than that of partnership boiler raisers; while from the viewpoints of its production, partnership broiler raisers were bigger than that of independent broiler raisers. The income of independent broiler raisers was higher than that of partnership broiler raisers. The R/C of independent broiler raisers was 21.24, and the R/C of partnership broiler raisers was 1.08. The correlation between the number of raised broilers and the supply (r) was 0.999 which indicated that there was significant correlation between the number of raised broilers and its supply.
