Ciri Akustik Tuturan Modus Deklaratif Bahasa Jawa Penutur di Medan (Perbandingan Dengan Ciri Akustik Tuturan Modus Deklaratif Bahasa Jawa Penutur di Solo)

Abstract

cThe thesis title is Characteristics of Acoustic Java Language Speech of Declarative Mode Native in Medan (Comparison with Characteristics of Acoustic Java Languages Speech of Declarative Mode Native in Solo). The goal of the study is to measure the meaning and the significan of differences in intensity, frequency, and duration of speech sounds silables declarative mode of the Java language which is spoken by native speakers of Javanese in Medan and Solo. This study uses quantitative method with experimental approach. This population is Javanese speakers which domicile in Medan and Solo. The amount of population is not counted because the data is homogeneous. Thus, the determination of the samples in this study are using nonprobability purposive sampling with 40 people as samples. This data research is recording data mode declarative of performative utterance (verdiktive sentence, eksersitive sentences, commissive sentences, behatitive sentences, and ekspositive sentences). Data processed using praat program to identity of intensity, frequency and duration. Once measured, performed statistical tests which using SPSS (Statistics Package for Social Scientist) apply Independent Sample T-Test to determine whether significant differences in the average indices of the two groups of variables. The analysis showed that: (1) the average intensity of the declarative mode of performative speech spoken by speakers of Medan did not show a significance difference to the average intensity of the declarative mode of performative speech spoken by speakers of Solo, (2) and the mean frequency / melodic structure of the performative utterance is a declarative mode spoken by speakers of Medan to show the significance of differences in the mean frequency / melodic structure of the declarative mode of performative speech spoken by speakers of Solo, (3) the average duration of the sound silabis declarative mode of performative speech spoken by speakers of Medan did not show any significance difference in the mean duration of speech sounds silabis mode declarative performative spoken by speakers of Solo. cPenelitian ini mengkaji Ciri Akustik Tuturan Modus Deklaratif Bahasa Jawa Penutur di Medan (Perbandingan dengan Ciri Akustik Tuturan Modus Deklaratif Bahasa Jawa Penutur di Solo). Tujuannya adalah mengukur rerata dan signifikansi perbedaan intensitas, frekuensi, dan durasi bunyi silabis tuturan modus deklaratif bahasa Jawa yang dituturkan oleh penutur bahasa Jawa di Medan dan Solo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimental. Populasi penelitian ini adalah penutur bahasa Jawa yang berdomisili di wilayah Medan dan Solo. Besarnya Populasi tidak diperhitungkan karena data bersifat homogen. Maka, penentuan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan NonProbability Sampling dengan Purposive Sampling dengan jumlah sampel 40 orang. Data penelitian ini berupa data rekaman tuturan modus deklaratif performatif (kalimat verdiktif, kalimat eksersitif, kalimat komisif, kalimat behatitif, dan kalimat ekspositif). Data diolah menggunakan program praat versi untuk mengetahui ukuran intensitas, frekuensi dan durasi. Setelah diukur, dilakukan uji statistik menggunakan program SPSS (Statistics Package for Social Scientist) yang menerapkan Independent Sample T–Test untuk mengetahui signifikan tidaknya perbedaan rerata indeks dari dua kelompok variabel. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa: (1) rerata intensitas tuturan modus deklaratif performatif yang dituturkan oleh penutur Medan tidak menunjukan signifikansi perbedaan dengan rerata intensitas tuturan modus deklaratif performatif yang dituturkan oleh penutur Solo; (2) dan rerata frekuensi/struktur melodik tuturan modus deklaratif performatif yang dituturkan oleh penutur Medan menunjukan signifikansi perbedaan dengan rerata frekuensi/struktur melodik tuturan modus deklaratif performatif yang dituturkan oleh penutur Solo; (3) rerata durasi bunyi silabis tuturan modus deklaratif performatif yang dituturkan oleh penutur Medan tidak menunjukan signifikansi perbedaan dengan rerata durasi bunyi silabis tuturan modus deklaratif performatif yang dituturkan oleh penutur Solo.
