    Sifat Fisik–Kimia dan Nilai Energi Metabolis Residu Proses Ekstraksi Mannan dari Bungkil Inti Sawit sebagai Bahan Pakan Ternak Unggas

    Abstract
    The palm kernel cake is a by - product of the palm oil processing industry and in Indonesia its availability is very high. In increasing the added value of the use of palm kernel cake as a feed additive extraction processing technology that will produce a supernatant that is considered capable of being prebiotic in chicken livestock and residues. This study aims to know the nutrient residue of palm kernel cake from mannan extraction on broiler chicken by evaluating physical quality (specific gravity, bulk density and compacted bulk density), chemical quality (proximate analysis and Van Soest test) and biological test (metabolizable energy). The research conducted at Nutrition and Feed Science Laboratory Jl Prof. A. Sofyan No. 3 Animal Science Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture University of Sumatera Utara. Executed in May 2016 until January 2017. Treatment composed of P0 : palm kernel cake extracted aquadest (control), P1 : palm kernel cake extracted acetic acid (CH3COOH) 1%, P2 : palm kernel cake extracted aquadest + mannanase enzyme 100 u/l and P3 : palm kernel cake extracted acetic acid (CH3COOH) 1% + enzyme mannanase 100 u/l. The results showed that mannan extraction had significant effect (P<0.05) in improving the quality of physical (specific gravity, bulk density and compacted bulk density) and numerically increase the value of crude protein and decrease the value of NDF (Neutral Detergent Fiber) representing the quality of chemical and give a very significant influence (P<0.01) to the metabolic energy value of palm kernel cake residue in broiler chickens. It can be concluded that extraction with aquadest + enzyme mannanase 100 u/l yields the best nutrient residue quality of palm kernel cake for broiler chicken.
     
    Bungkil inti sawit adalah hasil ikutan dari industri pengolahan kelapa sawit dan di Indonesia ketersediaannya sangat tinggi. Dalam meningkatkan nilai tambah penggunaan BIS sebagai imbuhan pakan dilakukan teknologi pengolahan ekstraksi yang akan menghasilkan supernatant yang dianggap mampu menjadi prebiotik pada ternak ayam dan residu. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kualitas nutrisi residu bungkil inti sawit hasil ekstraksi mannan pada ayam broiler dengan mengevaluasi sifat fisik (berat jenis, kerapatan tumpukan dan kerapatan pemadatan tumpukan dan kimia (analisis proksimat dan uji Van Soest) serta uji biologi (energi metabolis murni). Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Ilmu Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak Jl. Prof. A. Sofyan No. 3 Program Studi Magister Ilmu Peternakan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sumatera Utara. Dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2016 sampai dengan Januari 2017. Perlakuan yang dicobakan adalah P0: bungkil inti sawit diekstrak aquades (kontrol), P1: bungkil inti sawit diekstrak asam asetat (CH3COOH) 1%, P2 : bungkil inti sawit diekstrak aquades + enzim mannanase 100 u/l dan P3 : bungkil inti sawit diekstrak asam asetat (CH3COOH) 1%+enzim mannanase 100 u/l. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstraksi mannan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) dalam meningkatkan kualitas sifat fisik (berat jenis, kerapatan tumpukan dan kerapatan tumpukan dan secara numeric meningkatkan nilai protein kasar dan menurunkan nilai NDF (Neutral Detergent Fiber) mewakili kualitas sifat kimia serta memberikan pengaruh sangat signifikan (P<0,01) terhadap nilai energi metabolis residu bungkil inti sawit pada ayam broiler. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstraksi dengan aquadest + enzim mannanase 100 u/l menghasilkan kualitas nutrisi residu bungkil inti sawit terbaik bagi ayam broiler.
