dc.description.abstractUric acid was identified as a marker of metabolic disorders. Hyperuricaemia plays a role as a risk factor in the development of diabetes and metabolic syndrome on healthy and prediabetes subjects. On the contrary, diabetes may reduce the risk of hyperuricaemia and gout because of the uricosuric effect that appeared at the level of blood glucose over than 180 mg/dl as the present of glucosuric effect. Aim of this study were to determine the correlation between uric acid with HbA1C, fasting blood glucose, 2 hours post prandial and lipid profile ( total cholesterol, trigliseride, HDL and LDL) in type 2 diabetes and to determine is there any difference of uric acid levels in controlled and uncontrolled diabetes. A cross sectional study had been done in82patientsfrom the outpatientof HajiAdamMalikHospital from May until July2014. Measurement of haemoglobin, ureum, creatinin, uric acid, HbA1C, fasting blood glucose, 2 hours post prandial and lipid profile were conducted. There were significant negative correlation between uric acid level with HbA1C(r=-0,407; p=0,0001), fasting blood glucose (r=-0,338; p=0,002) and 2 hours post prandial (r=-0,318; p=0,004). There were significant difference of uric acid levels between controlled and uncontrolled diabetes (p=0,006). As the conclusion higher of HbA1C levels, fasting blood glucose and 2 hours post prandial in type 2 diabetes, so the level of uric acid will decrease because of the present of uricosuric and glucosuric effect.en_US
dc.description.abstractAsam urat telah diidentifikasi sebagai penanda untuk sejumlah kelainan metabolik.Hiperurisemia merupakan salah satu faktor risiko DM dan metabolik sindrom pada populasi sehat dan pre-diabetes.Sebaliknya, DM memiliki efek protektif terhadap terjadinya hiperurisemia dan gout karena adanya efek urikosurik pada KGD >180 mg/dL bersamaan dengan adanya efek glukosuria.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah dijumpai hubungan antara asam urat dengan HbA1C, kadar gula darah puasa dan 2 jam PP serta profil lipid (kolesterol total, trigliserida, HDL dan LDL) pada pasien DM tipe 2 serta untuk melihat apakah dijumpai perbedaan rerata asam urat pada DM terkontrol dengan tidak terkontrol. Penelitian potong lintang dilakukan terhadap 82 pasien DM tipe 2 di poliklinik Penyakit Dalam RSUP H.Adam Malik Medan selama bulan Mei – Juli 2014. Dilakukan pemeriksaan kadar haemoglobin, ureum kreatinin, asam urat, HbA1C, kadar glukosa puasa, kadar glukosa 2 jam PP dan profil lipid. Dijumpai korelasi negatif yang signifikan antara asam urat dengan HbA1C (r=-0,407; p=0,0001), kadar gula darah puasa (r=-0,338; p=0,002) dan 2 jam PP (r=-0,318; p=0,004) pada pasien DM tipe 2.Dijumpai perbedaan signifikan rerata asam urat pada DM terkontrol dengan tidak terkontrol (p=0,006).Kesimpulan semakin tinggi nilai HbA1C, KGD puasa dan 2 jam PP pada pasien DM tipe 2, maka kadar serum asam urat semakin menurun yang terjadi karena adanya efek urikosurik bersamaan dengan munculnya efek glukosuria.en_US
