    Sintesis Surfaktan 2-Heptadekil-4-{α-II,δ-II(α,ß,y-Trihidroksibutil Miristat)}-1,3-Dioksolan

    Abstract
    Sorbitol has been partially acetylated from the reaction of sorbitol and aceticanhyride without solvent and catalyst to produce acetyl sorbitol with the yield of 71%. Myristic acid was methanolyzed by using H2S04 as the catalyst to produce methyl myristate with the yield of 90%. The interesterification of methyl myristate and acetyl sorbitol in methanol by using sodium methoxyde as the catalyst at reflux, producing sorbitol myristate with the yield of 83%. Stearaldehyde was preparad by oxidation of stearyl alcohol (49%). Acetalisation sorbitol myristate with stearaldehyde, produced 2-heptadecyl-4-{a.-i1, o-i1 (a.,~, y-trihdroxybutyl myristate)}-1,3-dioksolan with the yield of 70%. Acetyl sorbitol, sorbitol myristate, stearaldehyde and 2-heptadecyl-4{ a.-i!, o-i! (a.,~, y-trihdroxybutyl myristate)}-1 ,3-dioksolan which were obtained above were confirmed by FT-IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopies. The CMC and HLB of 2-heptadecyl-4-{a.-il, o-i! (a.,~, y-trihdroxybutyl myristate)}-1,3dioksolan which were 7.10.4% and 2.73 showed the compaund was a surfactant.
     
    Sorbitol telah diasetilasi secara parsial dengan mereaksikan sorbitol cair dengan asetat anhidrida tanpa pelarut dan katalis menghasilkan asetil sorbitol dengan rendemen sebesar 71 %. Asam miristat dapat dimetanolisis dengan menggunakan H2S04 sebagai katalis menghasilkan metil miristat dengan rendemen sebesar 90%. Interesterifikasi metil miristat dengan asetil sorbitol dalam pelarut metanol menggunakan katalis natrium metoksida pada kondisi refluks menghasilkan miristil sorbitol dengan rendemen sebesar 78%. Stearaldehida dibuat dengan oksidasi stearil alkohol dengan hasil sebesar 49 % Asetalisasi miristil sorbitol dengan stearaldehida diperoleh senyawa 2-heptadekil-4-{u-il, 8-il(u,P, y-trihidroksibutil miristat)}-1 ,3-dioksolan dengan rendemen sebesar 70%. Asetil sorbitol, miristil sorbitol, stearaldehida dan 2-heptadekil-4{ u-ii,8-iI (u,P, y-trihidroksibutil miristat)}-1,3-dioksolan yang diperoleh dikonfirmasikan dengan spektroskopi FT-IR dan 'H-NMR. CMC dan HLB dari 2-heptadekil-4-{u-il, 8-il (u,P, y-trihidroksibutil miristat)}-1 ,3-dioksolan adalah 7.10-4% dan 2,73 yang menunjukkan bahwa senyawa ini merupakan surfaktan.
