dc.description.abstract | The impregnation of Palm Oil Trunk (POT) has been done by using polyblend polypropylene/natural rubber and acrylic acid. The impregnation technique is the attempts to fill the POT pores by polyblend polypropylene/natural rubber and acrylic acid as coupling-agent The impregnation was done in optimum condition in pressure of 1 kg/cm2 , the impregnation duration was 15 minutes and polyblend concentration 10%(b/v). From the mechanic test result the average value was Impact strength, Modulus of rupture (MoR) and Modulus of elasticity (MoE) value after it was impregnated resulted the increase value from (9,374 Kj/m2 ; 233,94 kg/cm2 and 14.633,9 kg/cm2 ) to (28,05 Kj/m2 ; 771,95 kg/cm2 and 76944 kg/cm2 ) , and with dimension stability rate and density after impregnation had increased from (66,0725 % and 0,56 g/cm3 ) to (85,0225 % and 0,862 g/cm3) The results indicated had increased the quality of POT based on The Indonesian Standard for Strength of wood testing.From X-ray diffraction. Scan Electron Microscope (SEM) and with thermal analysis (DTA) support and infrared show the poIyblend role to increase the POT physic and mechanical properties by interaction of the POT with polyblend and coupling-agent. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Impregnasi Kayu Kelapa Sawit (KKS) telah dilakukan dengan poliblen polipropilena/karet alam dan asam akrilat. Teknik impregnasi ini merupakan upaya untuk mangisi pori-pori KKS dan memodifikasi KKS dangan poliblen polipropilena/karet alam dan asam akrilat sebagai senyawa pengikat. Impregnasi dilakukan pada kondisi optimum yakni pada tekanan 1 kg/cm2 , waktu impregnasi 15 menit dan konsentrasi poliblen 10%(b/v). Dari hasil uji mekanis nilai rata-rata Kuat Impak, Harga Modulus Patah (MoR) dan Harga Modulus Elastis (MoE) KKS setelah impregnasi meningkat dari (9,374 Kj/m2 ; 233,94 kg/cm2 dan 14.633,9 kg/cm2 ) menjadi (28,05 Kj/m2; 771,95 kg/cm2 dan 76944 kg/cm2 ) serta derajat kestabilan dimensi dan massa jenis setelah impregnasi meningkat dan (66,0725 % dan 0,56 g/cm3 ) menjadi (85,0225 % dan 0,862 g/cm3 ) Hasil tersebut menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan kualitas KKS berdasarkan Standar Nasional Indonesia untuk uji kekuatan kayu. Data Sinar-X, analisis Mikroskop Elaktron Payaran (SEM) serta dukungan analisis termal (DTA) dan infra marah memperlihatkan peran poliblen dalam meningkatkan sifat fisik dan mekanis KKS melalui adanya interaksi antara KKS dengan poliblen dan senyawa pengikat. | en_US |
