    Pemanfaatan Asam Lemak Sawit Distilat Sebagai Bahan Baku Dietanolamida Menggunakan Lipase (Rhizomucor Meihei)

    Abstract
    Diethanolamide is a non ionic surfactant which is mostly used in producing various kinds of body care, detergent, cleaner and also cosmetic product. Palm fatty acid distillate (PFAD) as by product of palm oil industry is tried to be used for producing diethanolamide. Diethanolamide synthesis uses PFAD which done through by amidation reaction, which is by reacting PFAD substrat with diethanolamine at mole ratio 4,96:1; 7:1; 10:1; 13:1; and 15,04:1, Rhizomucor meihei concentration at 6,64%; 8%; 10%; 12%; 13,36% (w/w) and temperature at 33oC; 40oC; 50oC; 60oC; 67oC. The optimum convertion of reaction is 80,83%, found at Rhizomucor meihei concentration 10% (w/w), mole ratio of PFAD/diethanolamine 10:1 and reaction temperature 50oC. Lipase Rhizomucor meihei has given good acivity in n-hexane as the solvent at ratio PFAD/solvent 1:2 (w/v). The Characteristic of diethanolamide are acid value of 10,57 mmole/mg, iodine value of 6,97 with melting point 92oC, pH 8, hydrofil lypofil balance (HLB) 18, dissolved in ethanol, methanol, n-hexane and H2O.
     
    Dietanolamida merupakan surfaktan non ionik yang banyak digunakan dalam pembuatan beragam produk perawatan tubuh, pencuci dan pembersih serta kosmetik. Asam lemak sawit distilat (ALSD) sebagai hasil samping industri minyak goreng dicoba dimanfaatkan untuk pembuatan dietanolamida. Sintesa dietanolamida menggunakan ALSD dilakukan melalui reaksi amidasi, yaitu dengan mereaksikan substrat ALSD dengan dietanolamina pada rasio mol 4,96:1; 7:1; 10:1; 13:1; dan 15,04:1, konsentrasi Rhizomucor meihei pada 6,64%; 8%; 10%; 12%; 13,36% (b/b) dan temperatur pada 33oC; 40oC; 50oC; 60oC; 67oC. Konversi optimum reaksi sebesar 80,83 %, diperoleh pada konsentrasi Rhizomucor meihei 10% (b/b), rasio mol dietanolamina/ALSD 10:1 dan temperatur reaksi 50oC. Lipase Rhizomucor meihei memberikan aktifitas yang baik pada pelarut n-heksana pada rasio ALSD/pelarut 1:2 (b/v). Karakteristik dietanolamida yang dihasilkan adalah bilangan asam 10,57 mmol/mg, bilangan iodine 6,97 dengan titik leleh 92oC, pH 8, hidrophil liphofil balance (HLB) 18, larut pada etanol, metanol, n-heksana dan air.
