    Analisis Kwantitas Ideal Moda Transportasi Studi Kasus : Beca Motor di Kota Padangsidimpuan

    Abstract
    Every city whole in Indonesia have different transportations’ problem, from simple problem in small city until complex problem in capital province and capital country. Padangsidimpuan city which constitute part of small city have transportation which still simple classified that is a moda public transportation’s problem. The quantity of this pedicab is so be apprehensive, because portion quantity of pedicab which needed is over target and the effect of existence of pedicab poll make traffic jam because using the body of highway to parked. The efforts to pressing that quantity have more do it by government and police. Raid by police operational licenses of pedicab to every association, but the result of it is not show as a hoped. In this research improve that factor which very dominant in ideal quantity of public transportation prediction is data presentation of public transportation which serve a region, radius travel which will do it and the people quantity which have not a own car.
     
    Setiap kota di seluruh Indonesia mempunyai masalah transportasi yang beda-beda, mulai dari masalah sederhana di kota kecil sampai masalah yang komplek di ibukota propinsi dan ibukota negara. Kota Padangsidimpuan yang merupakan bagian kota kecil mempunyai masalah transportasi yang masih tergolong sederhana yaitu masalah moda transportasi umum. Jumlah beca motor ini sangat memprihatinkan, karena porsi jumlah beca motor yang dibutuhkan melebihi target, dan akibat keberadaan pool / mangkal beca motor menyebabakan masalah lalulintas disebabkan menggunakan badan jalan untuk parkir. Upaya penekanan jumlah angka tersebut sudah banyak dilakukan dengan oleh pemerintah dan kepolisian dengan merazia izin operasional beca motor untuk setiap asosiasi, tetapi tidak memampakkan hasil yang diharapkan. Pada penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa faktor yang sangat dominan dalam penentuan jumlah ideal transportasi umum adalah variabel data persentasi angkutan umum yang melayani suatu kawasan, jarak tempuh perjalanan yang akan dilakukan dan jumlah penduduk yang tidak mempunyai kenderaan pribadi.
