    Perancangan dan Evaluasi Kinerja Reaktor Hidrolisis-Acidogenesis pada Pembuatan Biogas dari Limbah Cair Pabrik Kelapa Sawit

    Abstract
    The Objectives of the research was to design and to find out the working method of the condition of hydrolysis-acidogenesis reactor. It is expected, in this research, that there would be no methanogenesis reaction but hydrolysis-acidogenesis reaction. The spesification of the reactor was 44 cm long, 33 cm wide, and 22 cm high with the same baffle and hanging baffle reactor of 1 cm. The random test of the performance of hydrolysis-acidogenesis reactor could be done by varying HRT of 18, 12, and 6 days; the dilution of waste concentration was 1/2 times and 1/3 times, and clearance baffle reactor (CBR) was 3 cm and 1.5 cm. The result of the research showed that the influence of concentration dilution of 1/3 times was docomposition acceleration of COD 67% and of acetat acid was 1.185%, while the concentration dilution of 1/2 times was 65% and the formed acetate acid was 1.190%. The variation of the indicated CBR with TS value and the optimal condition was at HRT of 18 days and space IV. Decomposition acceleration of TS and CBR dilution, biogas was not formed so that it could be used as container reactor and simultaneously as the formation of space-between reaction (volatile acids).
     
    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengetahui unjuk kerja kondisi reaktor hidrolisis-asidogenesis. Dalam penelitian ini diharapkan tidak terjadi reaksi metanogenesis, melainkan reaksi hidrolisis-asidogenesis. Spesifikasi reaktor diperoleh panjang 44 cm, lebar 33 cm, tinggi reaktor 22 cm dengan standing baffle dan hanging baffle reaktor sama yaitu 11 cm. Uji coba kinerja reaktor hidrolisis asidogenesis dapat dilakukan dengan memvariasikan HRT 18, 12 dan 6 hari, pengenceran konsentrasi limbah 1/2 kali dan 1/3 kali dan clearance baffle reactor (CBR) yaitu 3 cm dan 1,5 cm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh pengenceran konsentrasi 1/3 kali diperoleh laju dekomposisi COD 67% dan asam asetat diperoleh 1,185% sedangkan pengenceran konsentrasi 1/2 kali diperoleh 65% dan asam asetat yang terbentuk 1,190%. Variasi CBR yang diindikasikan dengan nilai TS dan kondisi optimal diperoleh pada HRT 18 hari dan ruang IV. Laju dekomposisi TS pada CBR 1,5 cm diperoleh 60,92% dan CBR 3 cm diperoleh 59,34%. Pada semua variasi pengenceran konsentrasi dan CBR tidak terbentuk biogas sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai reaktor penampung sekaligus pembentukan reaksi antara (asam-asam volatil).
