    Pengembangan dan Karakterisasi Sifat Listrik Film Kitosan sebagai Sensor Aseton dengan Penambahan Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC)

    Abstract
    Development of chitosan films as acetone sensor has been done to improve the chitosan film characteristics such as physical condition and its electrical properties. This was done because of the characteristics of pure chitosan films are fragile and weak so that the electrical properties tend to be unstable. Therefore, the chitosan films were modified by adding CMC in to chitosan solution with the variation of 0.01 g, 0.05, 0.1 g and 0.5 g. In this study, chitosan films and chitosan - CMC films were fabricated with electrodeposition method. Chitosan films were characterized using PSA, Optic Microscope, DTA, FTIR and UV-Vis spectroscopy. While the electrical properties included linierity, selectivity, response and recovery, repeatability, stability, reproducibility and life time. The testing was carried out by exposing the sensor to acetone gas for various concentrations. The results showed that acetone sensor based on chitosan - 0.05 w/v CMC has the best physical condition and electrical properties, such as homogenous surface, high thermal properties and the gap energy of 3,91 eV. High and stable electrical properties of the sensor have been obtained, indicating that the addition of CMC can improve the quality of chitosan film sensor.
     
    Pengembangan film kitosan sebagai sensor aseton dilakukan untuk meningkatkan karakteristik film kitosan baik kondisi fisis ataupun sifat listriknya. Hal ini dilakukan karena karakteristik film kitosan murni yang rapuh dan lemah sehingga sifat listrik yang dihasilkan cenderung tidak stabil. Karena itu film kitosan dimodifikasi dengan penambahan CMC yang divariasikan mulai 0,01 g, 0,05 g, 0,1 g dan 0,5 g. Dalam penelitian ini, film kitosan dan kitosan - CMC difabrikasi dengan metode elektrodeposisi. Karakteristik film hasil fabrikasi meliputi pengukuran dengan PSA, pengamatan dengan Mikroskop Optik, uji DTA, uji FTIR dan UV-Vis untuk karakteristik fisik film. Sedangkan sifat listrik film ditentukan melalui uji linieritas, selektivitas, respon, recovery, reproducibility, repeatability serta life time dengan mengekspos sensor dengan gas aseton dengan konsentrasi 0,1 ppm, 0,5 ppm, 1 ppm, 5 ppm, 10 ppm dan udara normal. Hasil - hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa sensor aseton berbasis film kitosan dengan 0,05 g CMC memiliki karakteristik fisik yang baik, yakni: permukaan film yang merata, sifat termal tinggi serta energi gap sebesar 3,91 eV. Diperoleh performansi sifat listrik sensor yang lebih tinggi dan stabil tanpa merubah struktur dasar film kitosan, yang mengindikasikan bahwa penambahan CMC damapt meningkatkan kualitas film kitosan.
