Analisis Investasi dan Pertumbuhan Ekonomi dalam Mengurangi Tingkat Kemiskinan di Sumatera Utara

Abstract

This research aims to study the domestic capital investment and gross regional domestic product in reducing poor people in North Sumatera. This research uses Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The empirical result indicates the variable of domestic capital investment has a negative impact on the number of poor people in North Sumatera, ceterisparibus. In order to minimize the number of poor people in North Sumatera, the government of North Sumatera province should increase the income of the population through increasing the productivity in which the poor people have capability to perform it and protection for the best results in economic, social, cultural and political activities. The government should also fulfill the basic needs such as education, health access, infrastructure and support social activities.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah penanaman modal dalam negeri (PMDN) dan produk domestik regional bruto (PDRB) mempunyai pengaruh yang negatif terhadap jumlah penduduk miskin di Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Hasil empiris memperlihatkan bahwa variabel penanaman modal dalam negeri (PMDN) mempunyai pengaruh yang negatif terhadap jumlah penduduk miskin di Sumatera Utara. Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) mempunyai pengaruh positif terhadap jumlah penduduk miskin di Sumatera Utara ceteris paribus. Untuk mengurangi jumlah penduduk miskin di Sumatera Utara diharapkan pemerintah Sumatera Utara dapat meningkatkan pendapatan penduduk Sumatera Utara melalui peningkatan produktivitas dimana masyarakat miskin memiliki kemampuan pengelolaan, memperoleh peluang dan perlindungan untuk memperoleh hasil yang lebih baik dalam berbagai kegiatan ekonomi, sosial, budaya maupun politik. Pemerintah Sumatera Utara dapat membantu mengurangi jumlah penduduk miskin di Sumatera Utara dengan mengurangi pengeluaran penduduk miskin melalui beban kebutuhan dasar seperti akses kependidikan, kesehatan, infrastruktur yang mempermudahkan dan mendukung kegiatan sosial.
