dc.description.abstractThe title of the research is “The Analysis of the Factors influencing the Income of Restaurant Businessman in the City of Medan”. The objective of the research was to find out the influence of independent variables such as capital, manpower, work time, the length of doing business, and menu variation on dependent variable, the income of restaurant businessman in Medan through cost intervening variable. The research used cross sectional approach. The population was 160 restaurant businesses, and 115 of them were used as the samples, using path analysis in estimating the result of the research. The result of the research in the first structural equation showed that capital, manpower, work time, and the length of doing business had positive and significant influence on the cost of restaurant businessman, and menu variation had positive but not significant influence on the cost of restaurant businessman. The result of the research in the second structural equation showed that capital, manpower, the length of doing business, and menu variation had positive and significant influence on the income of restaurant businessman, and work time and cost had positive but not significant influence on the income of restaurant businessman. Based on the direct effect, it was found that capital, manpower, work time, the length of doing business, and menu variation had positive influence on the cost and the income of restaurant businessman. Based on indirect effect, it was found that capital, manpower, work time, length of doing business, and menu variation, through cost of intervening variable, had positive influence on the income of restaurant businessman. Based on total effect, it was found that capital, manpower, work time, the length of doing business, and menu variation, together with cost intervening variable, had positive influence on the income of restaurant businessman.en_US
dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini berjudul “Analisis Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Pendapatan Pengusaha Restoran di Kota Medan”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel independen yaitu modal, tenaga kerja, waktu kerja, lama usaha dan variasi menu terhadap variabel dependen yaitu pendapatan pengusaha restoran di Kota Medan melalui variabel intervening biaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan data croos section sebanyak 160 populasi dan sampel penelitian sebanyak 115 pengusaha restoran serta menggunakan metode Path Analysis dalam mengestimasi hasil penelitiannya. Hasil penelitian pada persamaan struktural pertama menunjukkan bahwa modal, tenaga kerja, waktu kerja, dan lama usaha memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap biaya pengusaha restoran, serta variasi menu memiliki pengaruh positif dan non signifikan terhadap biaya pengusaha restoran. Pada persamaan struktural kedua menunjukkan bahwa modal, tenaga kerja, lama usaha dan variasi menu memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pendapatan pengusaha restoran, serta waktu kerja dan biaya memiliki pengaruh positif dan non signifikan terhadap pendapatan pengusaha restoran. Berdasarkan pengaruh langsung diketahui bahwa modal, tenaga kerja, waktu kerja, lama usaha dan variasi menu memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap biaya dan pendapatan pengusaha restoran. Berdasarkan pengaruh tidak langsung diketahui bahwa modal, tenaga kerja, waktu kerja, lama usaha dan variasi menu melalui variabel intervening biaya memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap pendapatan pengusaha restoran. Berdasarkan pengaruh total diketahui bahwa modal, tenaga kerja, waktu kerja, lama usaha dan variasi menu bersama-sama variabel intervening biaya memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap pendapatan pengusaha restoran.en_US
