Analisis Pengaruh Investasi dan Tenaga Kerja terhadap PDRB Sumatera Utara

Abstract

This research based on on the level of influence of invesment, domestic and foreign invesment to PDRB, where the invesment also will needs a number of manpower so that become productively. This research has a purpose to analyze the influence of invesment, number of manpower, and condition of economics on Indonesia before and after economic crisis to PDRB of North Sumatera. The analysis uses Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. For this analysis aim, use a secondary database in time series form, 1984 – 2005, that is data of number of manpower, amount of domestic and foreign invesment in North Sumatera and Product Domestic Regional Bruto (PDRB) of North Sumatera. The data obtained form Departemen of Manpower and Transmigration, Departament of Industry, and Central Bureau of Statistics of North Sumatera Utara, and other sources that is research result and journals. The result of research indicate that PDRB of North Sumatera influenced by three primair sector, that is agricultural sector, industrial sector and commercial sector, restaurant and hotel. Third of the sector give biggest contribution to PDRB of North Sumatera. Based on the estimating result, this research found that domestic invesment previous year, foreign invesment previous year, number of man power, and economics condition had a positive influence to the PDRB of North Sumatera with a determination coefficient value (R2), in the amount of 98,39 percents. It means that the PDRB of North Sumatera will be more increasing with the increasing in domestics invesment, foreign investmen, number of manpower. Partially, this analysis result showed that domestics invesment, foreign invesment and manpower had a significant influence to PDRB of North Sumatera, while the conditions of economics do not has a significant influence to the PDRB of North Sumatera.

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada besarnya pengaruh investasi, baik PMDN maupun PMA terhadap PDRB, dimana investasi tersebut juga akan menyerap sejumlah tenaga kerja sehingga menjadi produktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh investasi, jumlah tenaga kerja dan kondisi perekonomian Indonesia sebelum dan sesudah krisis ekonomi terhadap PDRB Sumatera Utara. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Untuk tujuan analisis digunakan data sekunder berupa data time series, 1984 – 2005, yaitu data jumlah tenaga kerja, jumlah investasi PMDN, jumlah investasi PMA di Sumatera Utara dan PDRB Sumatera Utara. Data tersebut diperoleh dari Departemen Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi, Departemen Perindustrian, BPS, dan sumber-sumber lainnya yaitu jurnal-jurnal dan hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PDRB Sumatera Utara dipengaruhi tiga sektor yang utama, yaitu sektor pertanian, sektor industri dan sektor perdagangan, hotel dan restoran. Ketiga sektor tersebut memberikan kontribusi terbesar terhadap PDRB Sumatera Utara. Berdasarkan hasil estimasi, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa investasi PMDN tahun sebelumnya, PMA tahun sebelumnya, jumlah tenaga kerja, dan kondisi perekonomian berpengaruh positif terhadap PDRB Sumatera Utara dengan nilai koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 98,39 persen. Hal ini berarti bahwa PDRB Sumatera Utara akan semakin meningkat dengan meningkatnya investasi dan jumlah tenaga kerja. Secara parsial, hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa investasi PMDN tahun sebelumnya, investasi PMA tahun sebelumnya dan jumlah tenaga kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap PDRB Sumatera Utara, sedangkan kondisi perekonomian tidak berpengaruh signifikan.
