Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Unsur-Unsur Neraca Pembayaran Indonesia

Abstract

The Reasearch intends to analyze factors which influences the part of Indonesia payment balance by using OLS method since period 1970-2003. Analysis result shows that Indonesia payment balance experiences surplus development post monetary crisis. It is caused of the increasing quality of export, and then it is able to raise up state revenue from the source of export. Nevertheless, in service balance sheet side, Indonesia still experiences deficitly, contrary in capital balance sheet side, Indonesia experiences deficit after the monetary crisis suffering occurs. Based on the estimation result shows that exchange rate of rupiah compared with US Dollar, investment, and previous export has positive influence and significant with Indonesia export at time. But in the other hand the inflation will influence positive but unsignificant with indonesia export development for period time 1970-2003. Meanwhile, factors which give positive and significant influence to Indonesia import development at due time are national revenue variable and previous import, but inflation will influence positive and unsignificant with Indonesia import development at due time since period 1970-2003. But for exchange rate of rupiah with US dollar and domestic interest rate will affect negative and significant compared with Indonesia import development at due time. More over, domestic interest rate and export will affect positive and significantly to net capital flow in Indonesia, but inflation will influence positive but unsignificant with net capital flow in Indonesia. But international interest rate side and exchange rate of rupiah to US dollar will affect negative and significant with Indonesia net capital flow development since period 1970-2003.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi unsur-unsur neraca pembayaran Indonesia dengan metode OLS selama kurun waktu 1970 - 2003. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa neraca pembayaran Indonesia mengalami perkembangan yang surplus pasca krisis moneter. Hal ini dikarenakan semakin membaiknya kinerja ekspor sehingga mampu meningkatkan penerimaan negara dari ekspor. Namun untuk neraca jasa, Indonesia masih mengalami defisit, sedangkan untuk neraca modal, Indonesia mengalami defisit pasca krisis moneter melanda Indonesia. Berdasarkan hasil estimasi menunjukkan bahwa nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dolar AS, investasi, dan ekspor tahun sebelumnya berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap ekspor Indonesia pada tahun berjalan. Sedangkan untuk inflasi berpengaruh positif tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap ekspor Indonesia pada tahun berjalan dan untuk suku bunga dalam negeri berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap ekspor Indonesia selama kurun waktu 1970 - 2003. Sementara itu, faktor-faktor yang memberikan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap impor di Indonesia pada tahun berjalan adalah pendapatan nasional dan impor tahun sebelumnya, sedangkan inflasi berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap impor Indonesia pada tahun berjalan selama periode 1970 - 2003. Sementara untuk nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dolar AS dan suku bunga dalam negeri berdampak negatif dan signifikan terhadap impor Indonesia pada tahun berjalan. Selanjutnya, untuk suku bunga dalam negeri dan ekspor berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap arus modal neto di Indonesia, sedangkan inflasi berpengaruh positif tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap arus modal neto di Indonesia. Sementara untuk suku bunga luar negeri dan nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dolar AS berdampak negatif dan signifikan terhadap arus modal neto di Indonesia selama kurun waktu penelitian, yakni 1970 - 2003.
