Faktor-faktor yang Mempengaruhi Produksi dan Pendapatan Petani di Kecamatan Tapak Tuan Kabupaten Aceh Selatan

Abstract

Nutmeg tree (Myristica fragrans houtt) is the Indonesia indigenous plant which comes from Banda Island. The objective of the research was to find out the factor of production which influenced nutmeg growers’ income in Tapak Tuan Subdistrict, South Aceh Regency. The research area was determined purposively because nutmeg tree is an endemic plant of Aceh Province, especially of South Aceh, which could give information in the research. The samples were taken accidentally, and the data were analyzed by using linear regression method. The result of the research showed that the factors of production (land area, plant age, fertilizers, and manpower) simultaneously had positive and significant influence on nutmeg production. The factors of income (cost for fertilizers and cost for manpower) simultaneously had positive and significant influence on nutmeg growers’ income.

Tanaman Pala (Myristica fragrans houtt) adalah tanaman asli Indonesia yang berasal dari pulau Banda. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktorfaktor produksi yang mempengaruhi pendapatan petani pala di Kecamatan Tapak Tuan, Kabupaten Aceh Selatan. Penentuan daerah penelitian dilakukan secara purposive dikarenakan tanaman pala merupakan tanaman endemik Provinsi Aceh khususnya Aceh Selatan. Daerah tersebut dapat memberikan informasi yang dibutuhkan dalam penelitian. Metode pengambilan sampel adalah metode kebetulan (Accidental), metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode regresi linier. Hasil penelitian: Faktor Produksi (luas lahan, umur tanaman, pupuk dan tenaga kerja) secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif/signifikan terhadap produksi pala. Faktor Pendapatan (biaya pupuk dan biaya kerja) secara bersamasama berpengaruh positif/signifikan terhadap pendapatan petani pala.
