    Abstract
This study aimed to determine the effect of partial and together GDP, exports, labor force, development expenditures, inflation, interest rate and economic crisis on domestic capital of North Sumatra. The study was conducted in North Sumatra with the scope of research on GDP, exports, labor force, the development of regional expenditure, inflation, interest rate, exchange rate and economic crisis on domestic capital of North Sumatra. Data collected in the time series 1986- 2007. The research method used was Ordinary Least Square (OLS). By using multiple linear regression models. Research results showed that based on the results of partial tests (t-test statistics) it is known that there are six variables that significantly affect the domestic capital of North Sumatra, is a variable rate, development expenditures, exports, inflation, economic crisis and GDP. While there are two variables that do not significantly affect the domestic capital of North Sumatra, the labor force and lending rates. Simultaneously (simultaneous) explanatory variables used are significant at α = 5 per cent of the domestic capital of North Sumatra. Of the coefficient of each variable, it can be concluded that the level of influence of variables GDP, exchange rate, inflation, exports, interest rate, labor force, development expenditures and economic crisis significantly affect domestic investment in North Sumatra.

Data dikumpulkan secara time series 1986 s/d 2007.
