Konteks Sosial dan Realisasi Linguistik dalam Genre Nasihat Bahasa Alas

Abstract

This research focuses on social functuions and generic structures in advice texts. The aims of this research are to examine the social functions, generic structure, realization and realization causes in Alasnese (BA). The design of the research is qualitative with embedded case study research which means qualitative approach. Qualitative approach is used in content analysis by analyzing transitivity, taxis, Mood, theme-rheme, cohesion, register and genre of Alasnese society (MA). The analysis is done by using systemic functional linguistics (SFL) with the construct that has been formulated. Validity of data analysis was conducted by using triangulation technique, that means if the meaning (X) is found, the expression (Y) is confirmed and if the expression (Y) is found, the meaning (X) is confirmed. The activity was done continuously until the problems were answered. It was found that genre of Alasnese (GN) gave guidance to MA; informed the structural changes in GN; ideational, interpersonal and textual functions and BA as social semiotics used unmarked and marked realization. In advices, MA had been oriented to work, do, think positively and react to action phenomena. Advices in transitivity, taxis, Mood, theme-rheme and cohesion as symbolic representation observed social reality were realized in material process. Interrelation between beings and other entities, attributes, identification and possession were realized in relational process. Advices as spoken culture specifically done by human beings were realized in mental process. Register analysis representing Field, Tenor, and Mode resulted instituted social activity and content of text within the continuum (+) specialization. Tenor showed that the MA took parts in the interaction within formal and informal continuum; status of the interparticipants was parallel and unparallel situation; the relation between participants was in positive affection; and the contact within interparticipants was (+) frequent; Mode showed the interaction in (+) organized; the distance of interparticipants was in the continuum with the characteristic (+) distance in time and place; the level of text or language with the activities performed was language as action, reflection, reconstruction and spoken medium. Cultural context, text represented social function, generic structure, linguistic features in advices. It was concluded that the texts of advice were cultural products of MA. Advices functioned as guidances for the Alas society. To reach the social objectives, text structure of GN developed and changed, yet they still had opening, content and closing. Language, register and culture (genre) are the forms of ideology realization of MA reflected in life.

Penelitian ini mengkaji fungsi sosial dan struktur genre dalam teks nasihat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji fungsi sosial, struktur, realisasi linguistik genre nasihat (GN), dan penyebab realisasi linguistik itu dalam bahasa Alas (BA). Desain penelitian ini kualitatif dengan studi kasus terpancang (embedded case study research) dalam arti pendekatan kualitatif sebagai pendekatan. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dalam analisis isi, yang pada strata bahasa dan budaya menganalisis transitivitas, taksis, modus, tema-rema, kohesi, situasional dan budaya masyarakat Alas (MA). Analisis dilakukan berdasarkan kerangka teori linguistik sistemik fungsional (LSF), dengan konstruk analisis yang telah dirumuskan oleh penulis. Pemeriksaan keabsahan hasil analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik triangulasi, yaitu jika ditemukan arti (X), maka ditanyakan ekspresi (Y) dan sebaliknya, jika diperoleh ekspresi (Y), maka ditanyakan arti (X). Kegiatan seperti ini dilakukan secara terus menerus sampai permasalahan penelitian terjawab. Temuan penelitian ini adalah GN dalam BA memberikan panduan kepada MA dalam bertindak; menjelaskan telah terjadi perubahan struktur generik dalam GN; fungsi ideasional, interpersona dan tekstual serta BA sebagai semiotik sosial menggunakan realisasi lazim dan tidak lazim. Dalam nasihat, MA telah diorientasikan agar bekerja, berbuat, berpikir jernih dan bereaksi terhadap fenomena kejadian. Nasihat (teks) dengan realisasi dalam transitivitas, taksis, modus, tema-rema dan kohesi sebagai representasi simbolik (semiotik) mengobservasi realitas sosial dan merealisasikannya melalui proses material. Hubungan antar maujud dengan entitas lain, atribut, identifikasi, dan kepemilikan telah memunculkan proses relasional. Nasihat sebagai budaya lisan secara khusus dan hanya dapat dilakukan oleh manusia telah memunculkan proses mental. Analisis konteks situasi merepresentasikan Medan, Tenor dan Sarana menghasilkan kegiatan sosial terinstitusi dan isi pada kontinum (+) spesialisasi; pelibat situasi tergambar pada kontinum (+) formal dan (-) formal; status antarpelibat berada pada posisi sejajar dan tidak sejajar; hubungan antarpelibat berada pada afeksi positif (+); kontak antarpelibat (+) positif sering; sarana situasi menggambarkan interaksi pada (+) terencana; jarak antarpelibat pada kontinum ciri (+) jarak waktu/tempat; tingkat teks atau bahasa dengan kegiatan dilakukan adalah bahasa sebagai aksi, refleksi, rekonstruksi, dan medium lisan. Pada tataran konteks budaya, teks merepresentasikan fungsi sosial, struktur generik, dan ciri linguistik pada teks nasihat. Kedelapan teks nasihat, merupakan produk budaya MA. Untuk mencapai tujuan sosialnya, struktur teks GN berkembang dan berubah, namun tetap memiliki pembuka, isi dan penutup. Bahasa, situasi, dan budaya merupakan bentuk expresi ideologi MA dan terefleksi dalam kehidupan.
