dc.description.abstract | The study of water quality relationship and food habits of batak fish (Tor douronensis) in Asahan River North Sumatra was conducted. Aims of this research are to understand the water quality of Asahan River, the food habits of batak fish (Tor douronensis), and relationship between water quality and food habits of batak fish (Tor douronensis). Fish samples were caught by electrofishing and casnet and stomach content was analysis using volumetric method. Result showed that the batak fish (Tor douronensis) have allometric growth patten. Based on the data of stomach content shown that 42 organism, the major food of batak fish (Tor douronensis) based on index prepoderance are Cymbella (56,32%), Navicula (46,65%), Thiothrix (44,25%), and Ulothrix (76,21%). Temperature high correlated with Thiothrix. Light penetration high correlated with Thiothrix. Light intensity highest correlated with Navicula. Current high correlated with Navicula. pH highest correlated with Cymbella. DO high correlated with Navicula. BOD5 high correlated with Navicula. NO3 high correlated with Thiothrix. PO4 high correlated with Thiothrix. Indicating the condition of Asahan River is relatively in good condition and support batak fish (Tor douronensis) growth as well. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang hubungan antara kualitas air dengan kebiasaan makanan ikan batak (Tor douronensis) di Perairan Sungai Asahan Sumatera Utara. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas air Sungai Asahan, kebiasaan makanan ikan batak (Tor douronensis) serta hubungan antara kualitas air dengan kebiasaan makanan ikan batak (Tor douronensis). Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan elektrofishing dan jala serta isi lambung dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode volumetrik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ikan batak (Tor douronensis) memiliki pola pertumbuhan alometrik. Berdasarkan data analisis isi lambung didapatkan 42 jenis organisme, makanan utama ikan batak (Tor douronensis) berdasarkan indeks prepoderannya adalah Cymbella (56,32%), Navicula (46,65%), Thiothrix (44,25%), dan Ulothrix (76,21%). Temperatur berkorelasi kuat terhadap Thiothrix. Kecerahan berkorelasi kuat terhadap Thiothrix. Intensitas Cahaya berkorelasi sangat kuat terhadap Navicula. Arus berkorelasi kuat terhadap Navicula. Parameter pH berkorelasi sangat kuat terhadap Cymbella. DO berkorelasi kuat terhadap Navicula. BOD5 berkorelasi kuat terhadap Navicula. NO3 berkorelasi kuat terhadap Thiothrix. PO4 berkorelasi berkorelasi kuat terhadap Thiothrix. Kondisi Sungai Asahan mengindikasikan secara relatif dalam keadaan baik dan mendukung pertumbuhan ikan batak (Tor douronensis). | en_US |
