Pengaruh Pola Asuh Orangtua dan Peer Group terhadap Konsep Diri Remaja Tentang Perilaku Seksual di Sma Dharma Bakti Medan Tahun 2014

Abstract

Unhealthy sexual behavior among the teenagers, especially in those who are still single, tends to be increasing. Self-concept has influence on the behavior of the teenagers in which the teenagers will behave in accordance with the self-concept they own. The factor that can influence the forming of the teenagers’ self-concept on the sexual behavior are parenting pattern and peer group. The purpose of this quantitative study with cross-sexual approach was to find out the influence of parenting pattern and peer group on the self-concept of the teenagers on sexual behavior at SMA Dharma Bakti Medan. The population of this study was allmof the 90 students of Class X and XI and all of them were selected to be the samples for this stufy. The data for this study were obtained through questionnaire distribution. The data obtained were analyzed through multiple linear regression test at α = 0.05. The result of this study showed that 72.2% of the teenagers had good self-concept on sexual behavior and 27.8% had poor self-concept on sexual behavior. The most parenting pattern the teenager had was that of their democratic father and mother (61.1%). Peer group in strong category was 60.0% and in weak category was 40.0% and there was a significant relationship between and positive influence on the self-concept of the teenagers on sexual behavior. The combination of parenting patterns (democratic father and authoritarian mother) had a significant relationship with the self-concept of teenagers on sexual behavior with regression coefficient = 9.810 and tcount The management of the school is suggested to instill more discipline to generate attitude and disciplined behavior in the students that they can be prevented from any behavior which is not in accordance with the norms practiced in the society. = 0.249 with level of significance = 0.003 and had positive influence on the concept of teenagers. With Adjusted R square = 0.440, t means that 44.0% of the teenagers self-concept on sexual behavior can be explained by the variabls of parenting pattern and peer group. While the remaining 54.0% can be explained by the other causes that were not included in this study.

Perilaku seksual yang tidak sehat dikalangan remaja, khususnya remaja yang belum menikah cenderung meningkat. Konsep diri mempunyai pengaruh terhadap perilaku remaja, yaitu remaja akan bertingkah laku sesuai dengan konsep diri yang dimiliki. Faktor yang dapat memengaruhi pembentukan konsep diri remaja terhadap perilaku seksual adalah pola asuh orangtua dan peer group. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pola asuh orangtua dan peer group terhadap konsep diri remaja tentang perilaku seksual di SMA Dharma Bakti Medan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa-siswi kelas X dan XI yang berjumlah 90 orang. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh populasi sebanyak 90 orang. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui penyebaran angket menggunakan alat bantu kuesioner, dianalisis dengan regresi linier berganda pada α =0,05 %. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan konsep diri remaja tentang perilaku seksual termasuk kategori baik yaitu 72,2 % dan 27,8 % dalam kategori buruk. Pola asuh orang tua terbanyak dari responden adalah pola asuh ayah yang demokratif dan pola asuh ibu yang demokratif, yaitu sebesar 61.1%. Peer group dalam kategori kuat sebesar 60.0 % dan peer group kategori lemah sebesar 40.0%, dan ada hubungan secara signifikan serta berpengaruh positif terhadap konsep diri remaja tentang perilaku seksual. Kombinasi pola asuh orang tua yang berhubungan signifikan dengan konsep diri remaja tentang perilaku seksual yaitu pola asuh ayah demokratif dengan pola asuh ibu otoriter dengan koefisien regresi sebesar 9,810 dan nilai thitung Disarankan pihak sekolah hendaknya lebih menanamkan kedisiplinan untuk membangkitkan sikap dan perilaku disiplin pada siswa, sehingga terhindar dari perilaku yang tidak sesuai dengan norma masyarakat.
