dc.description.abstractWater is the most important aspect in human life. In order to stay healthy, the water must meet physical, chemical, and biological requirements set in the Regulation of Minister of Health, The Republic of Indonesia No.492/Menkes/Per/IV/2010. Ground water is not safe to be used as clean water because it has been contaminated by the leak of septic tank or the industrial and household liquid waste. This is the reason for buying water to be the people’s choice for consumption. This study is initiated by the high level of people who have not been served by national standard water treatment plant. This study aims to design water treatment plant building that can serve the people in Namorambe subdistrict, Deli Serdang district. The results of the study show that the quality of raw water to be processed in to drinking water has several chemical, physical, and biological parameters does not meet the requirements as drinking water according to PERMENKES RI No. 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010. From the results of the research, it is found that the water needs of people’s of the Namorambe subdistrict for 8.897.580 liter/day or with a debit of 184 liter/second can serve the water need of people’s with a plan to build a complete water treatment plant. The processing unit is : the Intake Unit, the Coagulation Unit, the Floculation Unit, the Sedimentation Unit, the Filtration Unit, the Disinfection Unit, the Reservoir Unit.en_US
dc.description.abstractAir merupakan aspek penting dalam kehidupan manusia. Agar tetap sehat, air harus memenuhi persyaratan fisik, kimia, dan biologi sesuai dengan Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan RI No. 492/Menkes/Per/IV/2010. Air tanah sudah tidak aman untuk dijadikan sumber air baku air minum karena telah terkontaminasi oleh rembesan septik tank, maupun air permukaan buangan limbah industri dan rumah tangga. Hal ini yang menjadi alasan pembelian air minum menjadi pilihan masyarakat untuk dikonsumsi. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh tingginya tingkat masyarakat yang belum terlayani oleh pengolahan air minum berstandar nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang suatu bangunan pengolahan air minum yang dapat melayani masyarakat Kecamatan Namorambe, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas air baku yang akan diolah menjadi air minum memiliki beberapa parameter kimia, fisik, dan biologi tidak memenuhi syarat sebagai air bersih sesuai baku mutu PERMENKES RI No. 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan total kebutuhan air minum masyarakat Kecamatan Namorambe sebesar 8.897.580 liter/hari atau dengan debit sebesar 184 liter/detik dapat melayani kebutuhan air masyarakat Kecamatan Namorambe, dengan rencana pembangunan instalasi pengolahan air lengkap. Unit pengolahannya berupa : Unit Intake, Unit Koagulasi, Unit Flokulasi, Unit Sedimentasi, Unit Filtrasi, Unit Desinfeksi, Unit Reservoir.en_US
