Pengaruh Kemampuan Sumber Daya Manusia, Partisipasi Anggota dan Sistem Pelayanan terhadap Keberhasilan Koperasi Serba Usaha di Kota Medan

Abstract

From the macro economy point of view, the role of cooperatives is economically increasing; it can be seen from the increase of the use of cooperatives by people and for the environment, the understanding of the cooperative’s principle, foundation, and management, the increase in production, income, and welfare, the increase in distribution and justice, and the increase in employment. All these have caused the structural growth in the national economy which depends upon Co-operative Growth, Cooperative Share, and Co-operative Effect which involve and empower all walks of life so that poverty can be extricated. The most essential thing is about the success of a cooperative in its growth and development. So far, cooperatives have been left behind farther than the other economic institutions since the management of cooperatives has to face many problems. The theory used in this study was the concept of cooperative, the types of cooperative in Indonesia, all—purpose cooperative (KSU), human resources in cooperative, cooperative members’ participation, service of cooperative, and the success in managing cooperatives. The study used a survey approach with descriptive quantitative type and explanatory nature. The samples comprised 280 respondents and were taken by using proportionate stratified random sampling. The hypothesis was tested by using multiple linear regression analysis with simultaneous type of test (F-test) and partial type of test (t-test) which was aimed to know the influence of independent variables on dependent variable at the level of reliability of 95% (α = 0.05). The result of the analysis showed that the capacity of human resources of KSU, KSU members’ participation, and the service system of KSU had significant influence on the success of KSU in Medan with the significance level at 0.000. Coefficient determination (R2 The result of the t-test (partially) showed that the capacity of human resources of KSU, KSU members’ participation, and the service system of KSU had significant influence on the success of KSU in Medan. ) of independent variables on dependent variable was 78.10% and the rest (21.90%) was explained by other factors which were excluded from the study. The conclusion of the study showed that the capacity of human resources, members’ participation, and service quality had significant influence on the success of KSU.

Secara makro dapat dilihat peranan koperasi yang semakin meningkat dalam perekonomian, antara lain; meningkatnya manfaat koperasi bagi masyarakat dan lingkungan, pemahaman yang lebih mendalam terhadap azas, sendi serta tata kerja koperasi; meningkatnya produksi, pendapatan dan kesejahteraan; meningkatnya pemerataan dan keadilan; meningkatnya kesempatan kerja. Semua ini mengakibatkan pertumbuhan struktural dalam perekonomian nasional yang tergantung pada Co-operative Growth, Cooperative Share dan Co-operative Effect yang melibatkan, memberdayakan segenap lapisan masyarakat, sehingga dapat mengatasi kemiskinan. Masalah paling esensi adalah mengenai keberhasilan usaha koperasi dalam tumbuh dan berkembangnya suatu koperasi. Sampai saat ini koperasi lebih tertinggal dibanding dengan lembaga perekonomian lainnya. Penyebab ketertinggalan ini, karena banyaknya persoalan yang harus dihadapi oleh koperasi dalam pengelolaannya. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu konsep koperasi, jenis koperasi di Indonesia, Koperasi Serba Usaha (KSU), Sumber Daya Manusia Koperasi, Partisipasi Anggota Koperasi, Pelayanan koerasi dan Keberhasilan Pengelolaan Koperasi. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan survei dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dan bersifat eksplanotory. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling (penarikan sampel proporsional acak berstruktur dengan sampel sebanyak 280 responden. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda, dengan uji secara simultan (Uji F) dan secara parsial (Uji t) yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen pada tingkat kepercayaan 95% (α = 0,05). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Kemampuan SDM KSU, Partisipasi anggota KSU dan Sistem Pelayanan KSU berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Keberhasilan KSU di Kota Medan dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,000. Koefisien determinasi (R2 Hasil uji t (secara parsial) yaitu Kemampuan SDM, Partisipasi Anggota dan sistem Pelayanan berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap Keberhasilan KSU di Kota Medan. ) variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen sebesar 78,10% dan sisanya 21,90% dijelaskan oleh faktor lain yang tidak dimasukkan dalam penelitian ini. Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah Kemampuan SDM, Partisipasi Anggota dan Sistem Pelayanan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Keberhasilan KSU.
