dc.description.abstract | This Research has been performed to isolate yeast from seawater in Gabion Belawan
Medan and to study the ability of yeast in degrading diesel oil. Yeast was isolated
with the Stone Mineral Salt Solution medium enriched with yeast extract (SMSSe) and
added with diesel oil 2% at room temperature incubation and 120 rpm agitation.
Three isolates was obtained from the isolation GBN.1, GBN.2 and GBN.3. And then
tested the ability to degradate diesel oil through analysis Gravimetric in
concentration oil 1% and 3%. The result test showed that mix isolates has percent
degradation higher than single isolate. The degradation result obtained in mix
isolates was 68% for concentration oil 1% and was 65% for concentration oil 3%.
The results of statistical analysis showed that GBN.2 had better ability in degrading
of diesel oil but the ability to produce biosurfactant is not significant with isolate
GBN.1, GBN.3 and mix isolates. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengisolasi khamir dari air laut Gabion Belawan dan
menguji potensi khamir tersebut dalam mendegradasi minyak solar. Khamir diisolasi
dengan menggunakan medium Stone Mineral Salt Solution yang diperkaya dengan
ekstrak yeast (SMSSe) dan ditambah 2% minyak solar pada suhu ruang dengan
pengocokan 120 rpm. Dari hasil isolasi didapatkan 3 isolat khamir yaitu GBN.1,
GBN.2 dan GBN.3. Ketiga isolat diuji kemampuannya dalam mendegradasi minyak
solar pada konsentrasi minyak 1% dan 3% melalui analisis Gravimetri. Hasil
pengujian menunjukkan isolat konsorsium mampu mendegradasi lebih baik
dibandingkan isolat tunggal yaitu sebesar 68% untuk konsentrasi minyak 1%, dan
65% untuk konsentrasi minyak 3%. Dari hasil analisis statistik diketahui GBN.2
adalah isolat yang paling baik potensinya dalam mendegradasi minyak solar tetapi
kemampuannya menghasilkan biosurfaktan tidak berbeda nyata dengan isolat GBN.1,
