    Korelasi antara Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) Limbah Cair Pabrik Kelapa Sawit terhadap pH, Total Suspended Solid (TSS), Alkaliniti dan Minyak/ Lemak

    Abstract
    Study about corelation BOD among TSS, oil/greace, Alkalinity, and pH in palm oil mill effluent have been researched. Palm oil mill effluent sample were taken from IPAL PT. Nusantara II (Persero) in one of unit factory was sub-province Langkat. Sample would taken at primary anaerobic I , primary anaerobic II, secundery anaerobic and secundery anaerobic. Analysis determined of BOD used Winkler method, TSS used Gravimetri method, oil/ greace used gravimetri partision method, Alkalinity used titrimetri method and pH is measured with electrometric method. Based on result of this research corelation value between BOD and TSS is 0,9971, itís show that BOD and TSS have very high corelation. According formulation of t value that thitung < ttable = 18,5157 > 2,920, therefore BOD and TSS in Palm oil mill effluent sample can be accepted. Koefision between BOD and oil/greace is 0,9352, itís relited with corelation between BOD with oil/greace include very high corelation and t value is 3,7309 > 2,920, itís mean BOD and oil/greace have positive corelation with significan both of them is accaepted. Corelation between BOD with Alkalinity have 0,6493 itís show that corelation between variable X (BOD) and Variable Y (Alkalinity) include high corelation, but hipotesis this research is rejected because t value not worthy with formulation (1,2074 < 2,920). Koefision BOD with pH is -0,9666, showing that variable X (BOD) with variable Y(pH) include high corelation. Value of t show that thit < ttable = -5,2394 < 2,920, itís mean BOD and pH have positive corelation with significan both of them is rejected.
     
    Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang studi korelasi antara BOD dengan TSS, Minyak/lemak, alkalinity dan pH dalam Limbah Cair Pabrik Kelapa Sawit. Sampel Limbah Cair Pabrik Kelapa sawit berasal dari Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah PT. Nusantara II (Persero) unit Pengolahan Sawit Seberang kabupaten Langkat. Sampel diambil dari kolam Anaerobik primer 1, kolam Anaerobik primer 2, kolam Anaerobik sekunder 1 dan kolam Anaerobik sekunder 2. BOD ditentukan dengan metode Winkler, TSS ditentukan dengan metode gravimetri, minyak/lemak ditentukan dengan partisi-gravimetri, alkaliniti ditentukan dengan metode titrimetri dan pH ditentukan dengan elektrometri. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa koefien korelasi antara BOD dengan TSS adalah 0,9971. Sehinga hubungan variabel x (BOD) dengan variabel Y (TSS) dikategorikan sangat kuat. thitung > ttabel yaitu 18,5157 > 2,920, sehinga hipotesis penelitian yaitu ada korelasi yang positif dan signifikan antara BOD dan TSS dalam limbah cair pabrik kelapa sawit diterima. Korelasi antara BOD dengan Alkaliniti adalah 0,6493, sehingga hubungan variabel X (BOD) dengan variabel Y (Alkaliniti) dikategorikan kuat. thitung < ttabel yaitu 1,2074 < 2,920, sehingga hipotesis penelitian ditolak. Koefisien korelasi BOD dengan pH adalah - 0,9666, sehinga hubungan variabel X (BOD) dengan variabel Y (pH) dikategorikan sangat kuat. thitung < ttabel yaitu -5,2394 < 2,920, sehina hipotesis penelitian yaitu ada korelasi yang positif dan signifikan antara BOD dan pH dalam limbah cair pabrik kelapa sawit ditolak.
