Faktor yang Berhubungan dengan Kesediaan Ibu Bersalin untuk Pemasangan IUD pada Kala IV Persalinan di Klinik Bersalin di Kecamatan Teluk Bintan Provinsi Kepulauan Riau Tahun 2015

Abstract

Intra Uterine Device (IUD) is an effective and long-termed contraception; it can be used for all productive-aged women. The effectiveness of its use can reach to 99.4% and can forestall pregnancy up to 5-10 years. It can also be directly installed in women who have given childbirth or after the placenta is taken out. The objective of the research was to find out some factors which were correlated with pregnant women’s willingness to install IUD in Kala (Period) IV after childbirth in the Maternity Clinics in Teluk Bintan Subdistrict, Riau Archipelago Province, in 2015. The research was a survey with cross sectional design. The population was all trimester III pregnant women who examined their pregnancy in the Maternity Clinics in Teluk Bintan Subdistrict, Riau Archipelago Province, and 112 of them were used as the samples, taken by using consecutive sampling technique. The data were analyzed by using chi square test and multiple logistic regression analysis. The result of the research showed that there was the influence of knowledge, attitude, perception, the availability of health care providers, clinic affordability, and husbands’ support on 39.3% of the respondents who were willing to install IUD in their Kala IV childbirths. However, the variable which had the most dominant influence was the variable of perception at the coefficient regression value of 1.249 and Exp (β) was 3.488 which indicated that pregnant women who had good perception would have 3.488 times of the possibility to be willing to install IUD, compared with those who had bad perception. It is recommended that knowledge at the time of examining pregnancy should be improved and women’s perception and attitude should be changed by performing health and education approach as well as husbands’ support and the willingness of health care providers to visit pregnant women’s homes.

Intra Uterine Device (IUD) merupakan pilihan kontrasepsi yang efektif dan berjangka panjang, serta dapat dipakai oleh semua perempuan usia reproduktif. Efektifitas penggunaan sampai 99,4% dan dapat mencegah kehamilan hingga 5-10 tahun. Dapat dipasang langsung pada ibu pasca bersalin atau setelah plasenta dikeluarkan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kesediaan ibu bersalin untuk pemasangan IUD pada kala IV persalinan di Klinik Bersalin di Kecamatan Teluk Bintan Provinsi Kepulauan Riau tahun 2015. Jenis penelitian menggunakan metode survei dengan pendekatan potong lintang. Populasi adalah seluruh ibu hamil trimester III yang datang untuk memeriksakan kehamilannya di Klinik Bersalin yang ada di Kecamatan Teluk Bintan Provinsi Kepulauan Riau dan sampel berjumlah 112 orang dengan cara consecutive sampling. Analisis data dengan Chi Square dan Regresi Logistik Berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ibu hamil yang bersedia melakukan pemasangan IUD pada kala IV persalinan sebesar 39,3% yang dipengaruhi oleh pengetahuan, sikap, persepsi, ketersediaan petugas kesehatan, keterjangkauan klinik dan dukungan suami. Namun, yang paling besar pengaruhnya adalah persepsi dengan nilai koefisien regresi 1,249 dan Exp (B) sebesar 3,488 yaitu ibu hamil yang berpersepsi baik kemungkinan sebesar 3,488 kali untuk bersedia melakukan pemasangan IUD dibanding dengan ibu hamil yang berpersepsi kurang. Diharapkan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan pada saat melakukan pemeriksaan kehamilan, merubah persepsi dan sikap ibu dengan upaya pendekatan dan pendidikan kesehatan dan didukung oleh suami serta adanya kesediaan petugas kesehatan untuk melakukan kunjungan ke rumah.
