dc.description.abstractHuman resource management refers to the policy practices, and systems that influence behavior, attitudes and performance of employees. One of the factors that can affect the performance of the individual is the need for achievement. Organizational culture and perceptions of organizational support is the most important part to increase the need for achievement. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the effect of organizational culture and perceptions of organizational support to the need for achievement. This research tool is a scale measuring need for achievement, the scale of organizational culture, organizational support perspepsi scale. This study was conducted on 147 women police in North Sumatra Police. The results of this study indicate that organizational culture and organizational support perceptions influence the need for achievement (R = 0.463, R2 = 0215, F = 19,682, P <0:01). This means the perception of organizational culture and organizational support has a positive effect on the need for achievement. Meanwhile, organizational culture variables have a greater contribution to the need for achievement than the variable perception of organizational support. The results of additional research shows that there are two aspects of organizational culture that contributed to the increase in need for acheievement ie adaptabilty and misson. Aspects of the mission to contribute to the greater need for achievement. Meanwhile, for the perception of organizational support, supervisor support and organization aspects of reward and job codition contribute to the need for achievement. Aspects of the organization rewards and job condition contributed to the greater need for achievemnet.en_US
dc.description.abstractManajemen sumber daya manusia mengacu pada kebijakan-kebijakan, praktik-praktik, serta sistem yang mempengaruhi perilaku, sikap dan kinerja karyawan. Salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kinerja individu adalah need for achievement. Budaya organisasi dan persepsi dukungan organisasi merupakan bagian terpenting untuk meningkatkan need for achievement. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh budaya organisasi dan persepsi dukungan organisasi terhadap need for achievement. Alat ukur penelitian ini adalah skala need for achievement, skala budaya organisasi, skala perspepsi dukungan organisasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 147 polisi wanita di Polda Sumatera Utara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa budaya organisasi dan persepsi dukungan organisasi berpengaruh terhadap need for achievement (R=0.463, ). Hal ini berarti budaya organisasi dan persepsi dukungan organisasi berpengaruh positif terhadap need for achievement. Sementara itu, variable budaya organisasi memiliki sumbangan yang lebih besar terhadap need for achievement dibandingkan variable persepsi dukungan organisasi. Hasil penelitian tambahan menunjukkan terdapat dua aspek dari budaya organisasi yang memberikan sumbangan terhadap kenaikkan need for acheievement yaitu adaptabilty dan misson. Aspek mission memberikan sumbangan lebih besar terhadap need for achievement. Sementara itu untuk persepsi dukungan organisasi, aspek supervisor support dan organization reward and job codition memberikan sumbangan terhadap need for achievement. Aspek organization reward and job condition memberikan sumbangan yang lebih besar terhadap need for achievemnet.en_US
