Pengaruh Kompetensi Teknis Perawat terhadap Kinerja Perawat dalam Melaksanakan Asuhan Keperawatan di Rsud Batubara

Abstract

Batubara District General Hospital is a newly operated hospital where most of the nurses working there were taken from the many Puskesmas (Community Health Centers) scattered in Batubara District. Most of the nurses are newly assigned to work at a hospital that most of them are not experienced enough especially to work in the Emergency, ICU and Operating Rooms. The purpose of this correlation explanatory study was to analyze the influence of nurses’ technical competency on the performance of the nurses in serving the patients at Batubara District General Hospital. The population of this study was 39 nurses and all of them were selected to be the samples for this study through total sampling technique. The data for this study were obtained through distributing questionnaires about the nurses’ competency and the questionnaires about the nurses’ performance in the Emergency, ICU and Operating Rooms. The data obtained were statistically analyzed through correlation pearson’s product moment tests at level of confidence (α) = 0.05. The result of this study showed that the variables of technical competency of the nurses in the Emergency Room was in good category (53.3%), technical competency of the nurses in the ICU Room was in good category (53.8%), and technical competency of the nurses in the Operating Room was in good category (54.5%). The performance of the nurses working in the Emergency Room was in good category (60.0%), the performance of the nurses working in the ICU Room was in good category (53.8%), and the performance of the nurses working in the Operating Room was in good category (72.7%). The result of this study also showed that the technical competency of nurses had a positive and significant influence on the performance of the nurses working for Batubara District General Hospital with r value : 0.748. This finding strengthened the hypotesis stating that the technical competency of nurses had influence on the performance of the nurses in nursing care implementation. The management of Batubara District General Hospital is suggested to consider the provision of education and training for the nurses which is in accordance with the basic and additional competency related to their working unit in assigning and maintaining their work place and to sustainably evaluate and improve the knowledge and skills of the nurses. The performance of the nurses needs to be periodically evaluated through the established format.

Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Batubara merupakan Rumah Sakit yang baru beroperasi, dimana sebagian besar perawat di ambil dari puskesmas yang tersebar di Kabupaten Batubara, sebagian besar perawat merupakan perawat yang baru bertugas dirumah sakit, dimana sebagian besar perawat minim dalam hal pengalaman bekerja di Rumah sakit, terutama di ruang IGD, ICU dan Ruang Operasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompetensi teknis perawat terhadap kinerja perawat dalam melayani pasien di RSUD Batubara. Jenis penelitian adalah eksplanasi korelatif. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 39 orang. Sampel diambil dengan total sampel sebanyak 39 orang perawat.. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan intrumen kuesioner kompetensi perawat dan kuesioner kinerja berdasarkan ruang UGD, ICU dan ruang Operasi. Data yang diperoleh kemudian di analisis dengan uji statistik korelasi pearson product moment pada nilai kepercayaan (α) = 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel kompetensi teknis perawat di ruang UGD dengan kategori baik sebesar 53,3 %, kompetensi teknis perawat di ruang ICU yang berkategori baik sebesar 53,8 %, kompetensi teknis perawat di ruang Operasi yang berkategori baik sebesar 54,5 %. Untuk variabel kinerja di ruang UGD perawat yang berkinerja baik sebesar 60,0 %, di ruang ICU perawat yang berkinerja baik sebesar 53,8 %, dan perawat yang berkinerja baik di ruang Operasi sebesar 72,7%. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa Kompetensi Teknis Perawat memiliki hubungan yang positif dan signifikan dalam untuk memengaruhi kinerja perawat di RSUD Batubara dengan nilai r : 0,748. Hal ini menguatkan hipotesa bahwa ada pengaruh kompetensi teknis perawat terhadap kinerja perawat dalam melaksanakan asuhan keperawatan. Manajemen Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Batubara, perlu melakukan evaluasi dan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan perawat secara berkesinambungan. Perlu dilakukan penilaian kinerja perawat dengan format yang sudah dibakukan secara periodik.
