Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Kesempatan Kerja di DKI Jakarta

Abstract

The objective of the research is to analyze the factors influencing employment in Jakarta. As for variable used to analyze the relation that happened to opportunity work is Regional Gross Domestic Product variable, Investment which in this case the inclusive of Foreign Capital Investment and Domestic Capital Investment, Minimum Wage Province, and sum of the Labor Force in DKI Jakarta. Such Data obtained from Statistical Centre Bureau DKI Jakarta is in year time 1982-2003. The results show that the variable Regional Gross Domestic Product, Investment, Minimum Wage Province, and Labor Force by together have an effect on to work opportunity in DKI Jakarta. Partially, Investment variable is contradicted to hypothesis, where its analysis result shows the negative influence to employment. These differences among other things cause by the existence of relocation some regional industry out from DKI Jakarta and existence of employment dispute at economic sector exist in DKI Jakarta. While result analyze from variable Regional Gross Domestic Product, Labor Force, and Minimum Wage Province as according to hypothesis, where Regional Gross Domestic Product have an effect positively, Labor Force have an effect positively, and Minimum Wage Province have an effect negatively to Work Opportunity in DKI Jakarta.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi Kesempatan Kerja di DKI Jakarta. Adapun variabel yang digunakan untuk menelaah hubungan yang terjadi terhadap kesempatan kerja adalah variabel Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB), Investasi yang dalam hal ini termasuk Penanaman Modal Asing (PMA) dan Penaman Modal Dalam Negeri (PMDN), Upah Minimum Propinsi (UMP), dan jumlah Angkatan Kerja DKI Jakarta. Data-data dimaksud diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) DKI Jakarta dengan runtun waktu tahun 1982-2003. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel PDRB, Investasi, UMP, dan Angkatan Kerja secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap Kesempatan kerja di DKI Jakarta. Namun apabila dilihat secara parsial, variabel Investasi tidak sesuai dengan hipotesis, dimana hasil analisisnya menunjukkan pengaruh yang negatif terhadap Kesempatan Kerja. Ketidaksesuaian ini diantaranya disebabkan oleh adanya relokasi beberapa industri ke luar wilayah DKI Jakarta dan adanya pemutusan hubungan kerja (PHK) pada sektor-sektor ekonomi yang ada di DKI Jakarta . Sedangkan hasil analisis dari variabel PDRB, Angkatan Kerja, dan UMP sesuai dengan hipotesis, dimana PDRB berpengaruh positif, Angkatan Kerja berpengaruh positif, dan UMP berpengaruh negatif terhadap Kesempatan Kerja di DKI Jakarta.
