| dc.description.abstract | During its operation, home industry of cassava chips in Aceh Besar District
has not applied the principles of ergonomics yet. The result of preliminary survey
indicated that all of the workers working in the frying section showed the unnatural
work attitude and most of them suffered from fatigue after work. The purpose of this
true experimental study with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design conducted from
March to July 2012 was to analyze the influence of work facilities on work attitude
work fatigue in the workers working in the frying section of home industry of cassava
chips in Aceh Besar District.
The intervention done in this study was the provision of ergonomic work
facilities. The population of this study was 66 workers working in the frying section of
home industry of cassava chips and all of them were selected to be the samples for
this study which were then divided into 2 groups – control group and experiment
group – and each group consisted of 33 workers. The data obtained were analyzed
through paired and unpaired t-tests.
The result of this study was observing with RULA method by using Reaction
Timer showed that all of the workers working in the frying section of home industry
of cassava chips showed the unnatural work attitude with medium risk level and most
of the workers suffered from after-work fatigue with severe level. After the
application of ergonomic work facilities, the workers’ work attitude became better
and the level of fatigue decreased in the experiment group. This indicated that work
facilities had influence on work attitude and work fatigue in the workers working in
the frying section of home industry of cassava chips in Aceh Besar District. The
workers working the frying section are suggested to apply the ergonomic work
facilities that their work attitude becomes more natural and their fatigue level

| dc.description.abstract | Industri rumah tangga keripik singkong di Kabupaten Aceh Besar belum
menerapkan prinsip-prinsip ergonomi selama melakukan pekerjaan. Dari survey
pendahuluan diketahui bahwa seluruh pekerja di bagian penggorengan menunjukkan
sikap kerja yang tidak alamiah dan sebagian besar pekerja mengalami kelelahan
sesudah kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh fasilitas kerja
terhadap sikap kerja dan kelelahan kerja pada pekerja di bagian penggorengan
industri rumah tangga keripik singkong di Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Jenis penelitian ini
adalah True Eksperimental Design dengan rancangan Pretest-postest Control Group
Design yang dilakukan pada bulan Maret sampai dengan Juli 2012.
Penelitian ini dilakukan intervensi berupa fasilitas kerja yang egonomis.
Populasi adalah seluruh pekerja di bagian penggorengan industri rumah tangga
keripik singkong yaitu sebanyak 66 orang dan seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel
yang dibagi secara acak ke dalam kelompok kontrol dan kelompok perlakuan masing masing 33 orang. Analisis data dengan uji t-berpasangan dan t-tidak berpasangan.
Hasil penelitian dengan metode RULA dan pengukuran kelelahan
menggunakan Reaction Timer menunjukkan bahwa seluruh pekerja di bagian
penggorengan keripik singkong menunjukkan sikap kerja yang tidak alamiah dengan
tingkat risiko sedang dan sebagian besar pekerja mengalami kelelahan sesudah kerja
dengan tingkat kelelahan berat. Sesudah penerapan fasilitas kerja yang ergonomis,
terjadi perbaikan sikap kerja dan penurunan tingkat kelelahan pada kelompok
perlakuan. Hal ini menunjukkan ada pengaruh fasilitas kerja terhadap sikap kerja dan
kelelahan kerja pada pekerja di bagian penggorengan industri rumah tangga keripik
singkong di Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Disarankan para pekerja di bagian penggorengan
agar dapat menerapkan fasilitas kerja yang ergonomis sehingga sikap kerja menjadi
lebih alamiah dan tingkat kelelahan berkurang. | en_US |
